@@philipsoria2033 Always Strike First with Great Weapons means that you attack at initiative, since both ASF and ASL cancel it out - to the best of my knowledge.

Dark elves reroll 1's to wound in the combat phase only, not all the time. Trees are soft cover, did i say otherwise during the game?

@@MountainMiniatures I'll check the clip again to point the time cause I thought it was during combat :o And you didn't say anything but the shades went from hitting on 5's to hitting on 7's. (but I'm going to check that also, back in a bit :D )

During combat between your bloodknights and the executioners, there were some 1's to wound. (26:20 ish). And never mind for the forest, you just didn't say "long distance" but the math were good, my bad :)

@@MountainMiniatures maybe another thing you missed or thought was too risky as the weird angle of fleeing (hard to tell on the camera), at the end of the warlock combat if you elected to chase its the highest roll that means if the unit is overrun, so if you beat the 9 you would of taken the sorcess out and then clipped the executioner resolved as an overrun charge, or if you didnt get the 9 sorcess escapes and you still overrun into the executioners :)

big agree here. It bothers me that they actively make a decision to prevent those rare but memorable moments where the dice goes crazy.

They should have been steadfast. Steadfast is lost only when you do not have more ranks. Flanking only cancels rank bonus and only when in at least two full ranks in the flank.

@@FootofPork I'm not 100% positive it's true, I've read similar rumors often enough, and I remember a video in the Owen channel of a triumph and treachery game where Ash wasn't really laughing in a good sense when Owen said that Steve couldn't make it. (It could also have been the other way around, Steve was in the video and Ash wasn't) Maybe he was legit laughing, maybe not.

They get along quite well, there's no bad blood I know of. I was on Ash's podcast last month and we chatted before and after. I mentioned I loved "The Miniwargamening", a series of short vids Ash, Steve, and others did years back. He said he misses being able to do that stuff and hang out with Steve. But with where Ash is now (kids, publishing, creating content, painting, other work, and more) it's hard for them to get together. Really hope you can do a big game with Ash, Owen, and Clarence though. It'd be a bunch of fun (love me some Clarence) to see you guys get back together and screw around (I'd hope for a 6 hour uncut video where half the time you're shooting the shit).

@@masterwesty ah fair play, like I say it's been so many years and so many editions that it all blurs into one 😂 I just had it in my head that larger creatures did because of their size or amount of wounds or something. I'm probably VERY wrong because it's been a few years 😂

There is no more unit strength mechanic in 8th. To disrupt ranks in 8th you need at least 2 full ranks of at least 5 models. Late response, hope it helps!

@@martintieber7756 9th age and 9th edition are different, though it's confusing I know. Warhammer armies project also made a bunch of army books for 8th edition rules (Nippon, Cathay, Araby) which I was most interested in his opinion on.
