5:00 was just nuts, he set up his air dribble going the wrong way (and did it on purpose) then corrected it with a quick quadruple flip reset to score

Glad you enjoy watching that but you don’t watch or play enough. This is easier than it looks. Many freestylers can do this cus of the specific reset you need to get. It’s the same flip over and over.

Dark is one of those players that will set trends and influence how RL will be played. He’s not the best in the world but only because he is constantly pushing on the limits of the game. No one plays like him

What’s weird is that he isn’t even a “pro.” There aren’t any pros that are doing what dark is. The 1v1 pros started incorporating pogos after dark. So It will be interesting to see if this play style will be meta in the future

I'd say you just about hit the nail on the head. Rocket League definitely has a period in the middle where it can get a little stale, but playing with friends always helps.

I've known about Dark since at least last year because he played matches on Johnnyboi's stream. But this is the first time I've seen his perspective, and what the actual hell is happening LOL? The funny thing is I love the play style - I play like this. Super aggressive. I like baiting opponents to take shots when they know I have low boost. I pride myself in having fast recoveries. But as a lowly GC2, these mechs are just insane. I can't believe he can zap dash, multi X flip reset, wall dash, and pogo EVERY time. And not just that, he does it so fast. I just keep expecting him to mess up a dash and flip or spin out, but it never happens lol.
