If im not mistaken the whole purpose of the magia vander are too maintain the spell in the sky that keeps the pending evil at bay. So i guess in between the tea time they are maintaining the barrier

I like most of this episode, but I have a big concern. I’m not a big fan of shows that pummel the MC for a long time. The whole swordless portion of the fight was pointless.

would not say that, it shows Will able to fight on his own without his sword. also, you will learn later Will is not the only one who faces discrimination

I feel that, again it just felt like bullying and idk how the headmaster allowed it. That's like having a cookoff but not giving the chef a spatula or a knife but you have one. Its like wand vs bare handed, that part seemed ridiculous.
