While I haven't read the book, I will say that the first two episodes were very well done. It's also nice to know that the author of the book adapted the script, So it is authentic to his vision. Joel Egerton and Jennifer Connelly's chemistry is great so far. At this point, there are a few different directions it can go (considering haven't read the book) I am very intrigued and want to know how the story unfolds. As for the other reviewer saying this series is HEAVILY inspired by a different series, clearly he doesn't know that this is based on a book. It would be really nice if people knew what they were talking about before writing reviews. LOL!

I loved loved the book when it came out back in 2016; its a fantastic read and reads like it was made for TV. So far its kept pretty much to the source material. I agree that there maybe it's a few years too late, what with all the recent multiverse shows, however, keep with it as the book goes off into some messed-up tangents that should hopefully make for great TV!

I've been meaning to reading this book but hadn't gotten around to yet it. Anyone read it and watched the premier can offer some advice whether I should wait watching until I read it? How is the show compared to the novel?

There are some great shows, though. Manhunt was excellent, I enjoyed Masters of the Air, The Reluctant Traveler is wonderful, Acapulco is hilarious, The New Look, Hijack - lots of interesting and fun shows being released.

While I think the book was mostly generic (a big part of it being his writing style is awful), I did think the last act was amazingly unique. The last act took the books concept to a great place I wasn’t expecting

Apple TV seems to be on a "science as a fashion statement" kick. That is to say they have shows that kind of allude to real science but then immediately go off the rails with pseudo-science nonsense.

"Super intriguing," "exciting" and "loving this show?" Are the comments here genuine? So far it's all lackluster characters and a story full of cliches. I don't care about any of these people.

MotA was great until midway through, the rest was super boring. I didn’t care for Manhunt and all of these other shows were released prior to this year. Every since ‘The Changeling’, it has been a sequence of disappointing new shows for me.

This was... bad. So many writing cliches. Opens on a character waking up in bed to his alarm. He has a bland conversation with his wife and kid. He's a teacher in the middle of a lecture when the bell rings and everyone just gets up and leaves. The "kidnapper" is immediately obviously himself from the future or another reality or something. He finds himself in a strange place after being rescued and is completely incapable to speaking like a normal human being and explaining why he's confused, so we delay the big "reveal" with a pointless chase scene. Also, the show has that same, bland RED camera netflix sheen as every other boring streaming show. What am I missing, here?
