learnt from another comment that Jason 2 (evil) has always taken the compound before entering the box...where as Jason 1 fails to follow that rule (unknowingly).

Great recap - I fully agree, too many Jasons! Should have left it with two of them. Still enjoying though and looking forward to finale.

Not sure if anyone else noticed. It might be a filming prop mistake but in the past episode when Jason 2 got Charlie a car, it was a RED 4th GEN RAV 4. Charlie's RAV4 in episode 8 is a 5th GEN RED RAV4. So unless this was a filming error where they used 2 different cars, this universe is probably a close parallel to the OG universe, but NOT the OG universe that OG jason is from. Jason 1 probably entered a universe meant for a version of Jason 1, and theres probably a few versions of Jason 2s as well.

Don't sweat last week, dude. Your reviews are interesting & you are appreciated. As for episode 8... 1-Remember, Evil Jason set up a video camera outside the box. Assuming it's still there, it's a way to determine how many Jason1 clones have arrived at this universe. AND, if the Box is re-sealed, it stops any more Jasons from arriving. 2-Prediction/Major Twist: Jason1 and Evil Jason unite to get rid of (kill? put back in the box?) ALL the other Jasons. They do so, and rid this world of the Jason clones. They then decide to co-exist in this world, with Evil Jason relocating to another country. One last thing, that we may have over-looked in episode 8: the Jason who smoked the cigar, got arrested, met with Daniela at the jail, and later at the Chicago Bean may NOT be Jason1. Remember, Jason1 had a hotel room. Why, after meeting the clone in the bar, would Jason1 decide to sleep out in the open, on a park bench, rather than return to his hotel room? Bottom line: Daniela may have reunited with the "wrong" Jason--a clone, not Jason1. We'll see next week.

While watching the episode, I thought good Jason was trying to get arrested to stay safe from the other Jasons, lol. Then as I continued watching, it made sense. I'm missing Amanda! I like Detective Dawn version better. Wondering what Charlie has to do with Kankeekee or whatever that word is the 2 Jasons were talking about. So, now there is/can be an infinite number of Jasons? I think good Jason, Daniela, & Charlie will have to get into the box & go somewhere else to hide from all of the Jasons. This episode reminded me so much of the original Orphan Black with a bit of the movie Butterfly Effect mixed in with some Constellation. I liked Constellation, but it had more scientific, theories, etc. Dark Matter doesn't get too technical, even though there's a zillion Jasons, lol.

This was too much to comprehend. How are all these Jason's physicists that can travel universes? ... where's the mechanic Jason?

I liked ‘Constellation’ too… but it didn’t really go anywhere. I wanted to see where they took this intriguing concept, but nothing really happened.

I feel for you. I have learned that the audio description numbering system of the characters is based on their order of appearance, not which jason world number they are from. Like Jason 1 world or Evil Jason World etc. Cuz Dawn 3 is in Jason 1's world. Dawn 2 was the one we saw 2nd when she shot amanda and killed her while Jason 1 and Amanda 1 were watching from around the corner of the box before escaping back into the box and going to another dimension.

yeh, the acting in this is top notch too.

It really does seem like Jason1 is the level headed nonviolent person and Jason2 is the opposite. Also Jason1 probably learned from the different worlds making contact at the house isn't a good idea

Why do the other Jason 1s all simultaneously assume this is the right world ? There’s no way they all observed Daniella long enough to all know that’s the right one.

Well if Daniela and Jason 1 reenter the box. Other versions of Daniela x and Jason x would also enter the box. In the end there would be a world where multiple Daniela x and Jason x end up.

Your recaps were great… when bad Jason kills one of the Jason’s I almost died (thinking it was main Jason) so it is easy to confuse this confusing series🤦🏾‍♀️😅. I still enjoyed it very much once I got it all straight. I thought it was smart for main Jason to get arrested and bring Daniella to the police station than to try to confront the house without giving his family any context.sad that the season is over. Oh by the way I don’t know how to turn on something on my tv to help me differentiate the different Jasons

All Jasons are legitimate, including Jason 2. But box Jasons are relevant/real to our world since they all share the same experiences upon entering the box that first time. Jason Jupiter got lucky since he got to Daniella first and convinced her to trust him. This is exciting and a very morally grey place for Daniella, Jason Jupiter, and all the box Jasons.

What’s with the money? How do Jasons get cash? Why is there different types of US currency in the locker? My guess is the locker is the key to how this season wraps. The only remaining ampules are there. So, once Daniella tells that to 1, he’ll head there and meet up with 2. The showdown. Meanwhile Ryan and Amanda show up because we know she has 2 ampules. So in a way, the keys to where this is all headed are follow the money and follow the ampules. By the way, did 10 give 1 money so we knew we are in the right world? It kind of looked like the cash we are used to. And, wasn’t it 2 who mentioned something about money between worlds?

Don't worry about us being confused, we've navigated Westeros & Essos from Meereen to Braavos, from the Vale to the Twins or Castarly Roc, following dialogues in Dothraki & High Valyrian, knowing every detail about even minor characters, families and places, bring on the Jasons, we'll be fine 😅

Hey I didn't noticed that either so... this makes it all better. So how good Jason is the one with the rubber band? Details, details. I just wonder what is going to happen when all the bodies start pooping up.

Possibly each Jason that splits off via each decision becomes more diluted and weaker. But immediately you have to take into account a whole lifetime worth of Jason's already existing in different alternate universes... so that kind of nullifies that theory. I'm just surprised half these Jason's got got, seeing as they're a tad messed up.... but somehow had a clear enough mind to will themselves back to this universe. I'm thinking: the box; that's where to go, then on to Pleasantville Chicago. Or: Season 2 (Please).

Dark Matter is great and I can't wait for the season crescendo. However, I must comment that i disagree with your take on why Constellation was cancelled...I stopped watching after 3 episodes not because it was confusing with too many universes, but because it was a boring show. The show "Counterpart" had a very simplified character set with no confusion, but that show was also cancelled...because it was also a boring show. Funny...I had forgotten about Constellation until you mentioned it in this video, and I'm not surprised in the least that they cancelled it. The concepts were great, but the story being told wasn't.

i noticed jason who had crash accident while driving with danila and charlie had his hand out of the window with a yellow rubber band on his finger like the original jason, is danila with a copy ? cuz they hide his hand when he hug charlie also when he is under the chicago cloud gate ...im totaly confused if she is with the real one or not

Appears the Jason’s are heading to a confrontation - Jason A vs Jason B - maybe they want to switch worlds? Too many Jason’s to track. Thankfully Constellation has been cancelled - it was awful.

ITS NOT JASON 6!!!! ITS SIMPLY THE 6TH JASON THAT WE HAVE SEEN UP UNTIL THAT POINT. AT THAT POINT WE ONLY KNOW OF THREE JASONS AFTER THE SECOND ONE ENTERED THE STORE. So it doesn't mean there were 6 Jason's in that world at the moment. Just means we have seen six including the ones in other worlds Jason 1 visited.
