While Mileena soloing Dark Raiden is a bit ridiculous, the minor saving grace for that part is in this timeline the disease Tarkat is able to give feral power at the cost of one’s sanity. Story-wise Mileena supposes to become a lot more powerful and dangerous when Tarkat manifests, her power level when normal is the same as everyone else’s

Its too bad Richard Epcar didn't reprise his roll as Dark Raiden considering they kept him with his mk11 look and face. It felt like a slap in the face having someone else try to sound like Dark/Titan Raiden. On that note Dark Shao Khan and the other dark variants should have kept their mk11 looks as well.

Majority of MK11's versions died in MK11, that's why they look a new... except for Raiden & Fujin... because if you remember, at the end of Shang Sung's victory in MK11 Aftermath, they only showed Raiden & Fujin with their MK11's attire.

Just like in mk11, dark Raiden was a joke here. He lost to Mileena when even elder gods would had found it difficult to fight him in that form. It would had been better if all together would had lost to him with even lord liu Kang losing a 1vs1 and then lord Liu kang with assistance of geras would had fought lone Dark Raiden.

The only thing that annoys me is that the other timeline Shang Tsung (Titan) still has the needle claws and uses the same attacks as the new Shang Tsung. They should have kept his moveset and look from MK11, would make way more sense.

the expressions are awesome but i feel like each new game , the costumes are becoming less awesome looking and more mundane and unimpressive looking... the best costumes belongs to MK9 in my opinion

well MK11 had great custom skins, so it's not really fair to compare, but as far as overall KOSTUMES* go... yeah MK9 probably takes the cake, especially when you consider its technical limitations, but Tri-Borg was a straight up amazing design. MK9 also had great OG ninja skins. Special mention goes to the Carl Weather Jax skin. Liu Kang do be looking pretty good though in previous games.
