Plastic surgery should be not used for beauty purposes but for people who needs corrective surgeries due to accidents and mishaps. The ethical part gone in the doctors also is one of the reason. film and beauty industry ll over have spoilt humanity to. Large extent

I think I have to clarify there is a difference between plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery.. Plastic surgery is done to cover up a wound which is occurred due to any accident in order to provide maximum functionality to the organ injured where as Cosmetic surgery is performed on a perfectly functioning organ in order to change the looks..

It's not just about the social media, there are certain toxic relatives in everyones home who tries to degrade the way we look. Hearing them saying crap about us from the very childhood is very traumatic.

Pressure of having perfect body, face and etc . when i was on instagram i used to compare my life with others and it was to frustrating . i like the way u expressed this problem . I never used to laugh because my teeth were huge compared to my face and once in a family get together my cousin cracked a joke and we started laughing but my late grandma sarcastically told me not to laugh as I don't look good, at that moment I just got really angry and replied to her " if you looked good then we would also look good" everyone stopped laughing. But now I laugh confidently cause my face is proportional and mostly because I stopped caring about what others feel.

I really appreciate that you took a stand and make an awareness on this topic! I feel, not only the film industry or social media, sometimes its our own people, that may be relatives, friends or any random people who point out the drawbacks of our look, appearance can impact majorly our self confidence! People face body shaming very badly which lows down their self confidence, make them conscious about their look and then end up flowing with the trend cosmetic surgery . I agree with you that wanting to look good is not a bad thing, but that should be because of self love, but not by influenced by others or by being victim of body shaming!

Keerthi, the reason behind being conscious is our society. The people around us judge so easily or highlight a personality who is tall, slim, fair.... obviously the others who r dark ,short etc feel low and find ways to look attractive. The change should come from the way we look at others ... change should come from society.. in teenagers there is a lot of body shaming too...

Most important thing is self confidence. It changed my perception too. I was also very insecure about myself but then i accepted myself and things changed drastically. Self confidence makes your body language, facial expressions naturally attractive that you'll realise in no time that you're drawing attention everywhere you go. So chin up guys If you wanna look perfect then follow healthy lifestyle and do some light exercise like running for 15 mins. That's more than enough to change you in 6 months
