in case anyone was wondering, i was not a mound maker because i would not be able to spank ganks. i get sent home after killing 1 or 2 phantoms.

I used to fear Hodrick till I realized his AI was so damn abusable. Hit him a few times and you know he will either try to warmth or power within. Rush in and get in a hit. Repeat until dead. Do not hit more than once as you never know when he will parry spam

@CaptToilet : "Rush in and get in a hit." That's when he spams Warmth after taking too much damage and HE WILL camp it unless you bait him out from it by hitting him once. And if you stick close to him for too long; he will R1 spam, trade hits, and roll catch you all the way back to King's Field unless you completely back off out of range. Which then leads to him using Warmth.... Also from my many deaths to him, he only parries when he has his shield out. It's more obvious that he's prepared for it when he is passive for a moment. From what it sounds like, you're using light weapons rather than ranged attacks or heavy weapons. I feel like that can be a counter to him. This and parry'ing him when he uses his weapon art are two ways to deal with him I guess, but it seems like everyone else will have to hope the long battle of attrition is in their favor somehow. Maybe, if you have multiplayer, summoning phantoms and putting him in the R1 blending machine can work too?

@Joshua Xiong - I faced Hodrick again on my new female character run a few weekends ago and he never got warmth or power within off once. Seriously you can absolutely punish him during that casting animation. HIt once, let him swing, hit again, he starts rolling away to cast his gay cheese, rush in and one punch his face.

That ain't nothing lol hodrick on NG+7 does 908-1100 per swing depending on enemy and his WA does roughly 1700-2335 dmg WHILE having like 2800 hp with that BS Npc defense we all know and love like ffs he 3shotted eygon(summon) on NG+7

I'd really like to see you play Millwood Battle Axe. I'm starting today to learn how to invade with it and it would be very inspiring and enlightening to see someone at your skill level wielding it. It also is pretty damn good on strength builds.

Is that with SL 50? Im now at 105 NG+ and I have problems to invade people. Im thinking to start again with a new character and maybe stay at SL50-70, even in NG+. Some advice?
