Every time I open the chest before the Prowling Magus and Congregation boss I find that red mist, is it supposed to be like that?

Discoveries like the one in the final clip are hard to come by. I've been doing totally voluntary research into falling of Firelink Shrine for over ten years now and still have yet to find anything useful. Heh...

in DS3 I was in the Grand Archives, I had just dipped my head in some wax and decided to "stretch out" gesture in the pile of dead wax priests,then I was invaded, I decided not to move and see what happens, I saw the invader ran past me several times before returning to his world, I thought it was hilarious

Woah wtf!!! I’m a diehard ds2 fan, played throughout middle school to high school and still in college. Hit maximum arena rank and almost all weapons. 1000s and 1000s of hours but have never seen that radiant aura chest that’s cool!

I'm 100% sure I've seen the red mist before. I just didn't know it heals you because if a Dark Souls game throws red mist at me after opening a chest I definitely won't wait to find out what it does.

I swear ive seen it in one of my very early, possibly first or second playthroughs but Theres no chance in hell i would of known it would heal you though for exactly the same reasoning you have

You can get out of the lift glitch in ds3, you end up landing down where the spinny guy and lightning arrow spell is. You take a fair bit of fall damage but I have gotten out on more than one occasion.

Holy shit, the fact that even now there are still new things about ds2 to be discovered is both amazing and sad. Really wish that game didn't go through development hell like it did. It could have been so much more and it already is a lot.

I've had the red cloud "trap" before a couple of times. Not sure about all chests being randomized, at least there's a few that always have the same trap in them.

I found the red mist trap chest during my first play-through DS2. For me it was the one in the spider area so when I opened the chest I freaked out and rolled away and all the spider dropped down so I though that’s what the trap did at the time 😂. Though I never got it again and the spiders still dropped down so I always wondered what the trap actually did

I like using Havel's Greatshield and Brigand Twindaggers to use the weapon art for chasing people down with the weapon art and cutting them to pieces

not sure if you done this but a "top ten historical moments in soulsborne" would be cool, things like the first no damage run or otz all bosses no hit run were completed. a way to celebrate all the big moments in soulsborne history and what the community has done before elden ring comes out

the "red trap" chests in ds 2 (when i was hollow) i triggered that trap a lot, its very rare but i discovered it a long time ago. i thought everyone knew about that

10:44 I think I've seen that trap before, over in the small cave area with all the spiders the first time I ever ran through it. I always thought it was a special one that made the spiders hostile, so I avoided opening it in further playthroughs...

Thats what it does!! I havent played ds2 in ages but got that chest a few times when getting the blue flames early on, all i thought it did was scare the living hell out of me. Maybe draw enemies? Never noticed it healed me

I believe you can also sometimes get the "evil eye" trap in DS2 outside the one room with spiders where it always appears. I've got it once and scared the s- out of me.

I had the Red Trap in DS2 so many times, and i always panic rolle trying to avoid it at al cost, because red = big danger, just to end up confused. Though now that i know i will probably never see it again.

Wow, I got the red mist trap last week doing my final DS2 playthrough and just thought it was bugged lol. ( I say final DS2 playthrough because with Demons remake and Elden Ring I doubt I'll ever be able to go back to the DS trilogy ever again)
