Incredibly clutch Dark Souls Remastered All Bosses speedrun world record speedrun! This is roughly the 6th time I have beaten my own record by a second. It's insane, how does this keep on happening?!

Before you ask, and I know you want to, playing in Japanese does not directly save time for the run. However, it does reduce the time it takes to return back to the game after a Save & Quit, making it more efficient in real time. Enjoy the run! ✌

I randomly had this recommended to me because I watch a lot of soulsborne content (speedruns, challenge runs, playthroughs, etc.) but I can say that KZfaq hasn’t made such a good recommendation to me in a good while. This was very entertaining and exactly the type of run I would speedrun, so here is a comment to boost your karma in the KZfaq algorithm.

i just realized, in one of the boss fights the boss had no hp left but survived anyway, maybe u could've saved few secs by going for 99 magik?

Yeah, Centipede Demon is one hit away from death. Unfortunately, I have no way of levelling 99 INT without wasting time, so it is not worth it.

I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS: 1. Why you make Dukes Archives yellow fog skip and less 20 seconds, if you just can kill Four Kings earlier and put lordvessel ? 2. Why you kill Kalameet in this way if it long, and need GMS ?

Nah, he has his own part of the garden which is fenced off, but he is free to roam it. Can hide in a shed as well!

there are lots of reasons why, but it helps skip some longer animations and is used in some skips i believe. anyone correct me if im wrong tho lol

Streaming stuff (netflix OR twitch) is still TV, just because it's not broadcast traditionally and does not necessarily have the typical scripted content does not change you watching a screen for hours on end (keep in mind most people who watch youtube or twitch are not chatting or posting comments otherwise, so its not even interactive for most people).

Hearing the feet flapping about as he runs from victim to victim. Tonight the world will burn with fire, as one man run amok. Makes me laugh thinking about

Just beat the base game in like 8 hours and a half, which felt incredibly fast. Just amazing you did base and dlc in 1/8 of that time 😂. Still good though, cleared all the lord souls in like 1 hour (got really good rng in all of them, specially Nito and 4 kings), in another 10 minutes killed gwyn.

On the way down the stairs to the smith, is it possible to jump over the railing and save a second or two, because the next thing is a bonfire anyway, so the damage doesnt matter?

There is a scuffed jump you can attempt, but not from the very top. It saves less than a second and is fairly precise.

Dope run but i think saying no hit runs are easier than speedruns is a bit weird. Getting hit not once at all is super impressive and once you do that just do speedrunning of no hit runs. Just weird how hard you diss it and dismiss when it is equally as hard if not harder

I would guess that pulling off multiple glitches first time in a one hour run would be harder than a no hit run through because in the latter you don't have time pressure and can play it safer. There's a lot of strats to ensure you don't get hit by mobs and most bosses should be easy enough with a good build.

Honestly, thing with TV is, not only is it more expensive than streaming services, but it also has super long ads and even then you can't watch what you want when you want, you have to wait for the TV people to decide when you can watch it. And like, I remember seeing ads for Ondemand TV. You had to pay extra to watch when you wantedm

Very very casual speedrunning fan, especially for dark souls, so I know there's an explanation im just not seeing. But wouldn't it be faster to grab the red tearstone ring before going to gargoyles? Both potentially getting More dps and avoiding having to activate the elevator and riding it back up to the cathedral?

About what you said at the beginning: I find it so dumb how people are amazed by arbitrary runs that are claimed to be "world's first". You should check the speedsouls.com wiki for articles about all the DS1 glitches and the guides section on the speedrun.com page about dark souls remastered, both can give you a lot of useful information, especially the speedsouls wiki, you can also join the speedsouls discord so you can ask questions directly to the dark souls speedrunning community if you want

I haven't watched that part of the speedrun but as far as I know the glitch he uses makes doors disappear, the deathcam is used in those cases.
