Dark Title bar on windows 10

Most Apps nowadays use dark interfaces. 3ds max, blender, Houdini, Maya, cinema 4d, you name it. But windows 10 by default has a white title bar and can be not so pleasant to the eyes, more when you pass hours and hours in front of this programs
Its easy to change this title bar to black using desktop color settings under windows 10, but is not so easy to change the title bar when is inactive.
Here a quick tutorial to change the title bar to dark while active and inactive.

Thank you so much man I already noticed there was something off about 3ds max on windows 10 but I wasn't sure what it's it feels much better now even with both 3dsmax dark & light theme.

Thanks, this helped! If someone has problem by getting the wrong colors - you need to swap first two hex digits with the last two. For example #0011FF to #FF1100.

Exactly what I was looking for, thanks so much! Now I have to figure out how to change that damn white menu bar in After Effects :/ A good grey that matches Maya's dark interface is 444444 if anyone is looking.

Hello how can I apply this same settings to ACTIVE window instead of selecting a dark color accent in windows settings? The reason behind this is that when selecting a dark accent color, the other textual options change color too and having selected a dark color makes all of these phrases unredeable. I guess that in the same registry editor should be a similar option to change the color of title bars manually same method as video show.

@@andvfx I'm very excited for Max 2021. I'd be interested on hearing your thoughts on how Max compares to Blender. Blender seems really good and the price is hard to beat. As someone who teaches 3d modeling in 3ds Max I'd like to stay up to date with the current state of things and Blender appears hard to ignore.

Petar Stamenkovic sure blender is doing great things.. and free, so no reason at all to ignore it. For me has some problems I hope they solve soon, controlz or performance on big scenes, also lacks robust particle systems or fx tools, but you have sculping tools and modeling tools I found quite good for a lot of tasks.

Thank you very much, I hate that, it makes no sense on a dark mode which by the way Microsoft still don't know how to do properly, dark mode is not the same as Pitch Black mode 😡 I'm still waiting for them to make a consistent UI and include columns in the file explorer like mac 😔
