Funnily enough I do re use characters. Not these ones yet though. You will find Christian Le Cozh In a couple of stories and Gowan Fell appears several times. They could be characters in a Call of Cthulhu game.

It's in the trees! It's coming! Strange how coincidence creeps up on us. In returning to your tale, after a brief pause, I reverted to my KZfaq history to reload Dark Water, and noticed that the last thing that I had listened to was The Hounds of Love. "So"? What of it? Nothing unusual in that. Then I hear, " it's coming for me through the trees." Or something very like to it. Strange phenomena maybe? Keep letting the weirdness in Tony. Thanks.

That must have been loads of fun, running about in the woods, but knowing there was someone there, on a mission. I used to go to science fiction conventions and we did "runs" (as in Logan's Run) in costume, but that was like a glorified hide and seek. Out in the woods would be much more terrifying.

I love this one. Excellent folk horror with all the right ingredients - new vs old, mindless horror of WW1 echoed in the ancient horror of the mindless slug that doesn't even have to devour you in order to utterly destroy you, debts of brotherhood, sacrifice and the gift of life and all that. Oh, and of course the darkness itself. Thank you for doing what you do, hey. You've inspired me to gather my household together for a Cthulhu mythos RPG now *chuckles evilly*

I spent several days in Tintagel years ago, and that would have been a perfect setting for something like this. The layers of history there are deep as you probably know, and presented the opportunity for all manner of possible visitations by some old horror from the caves at the bottom of cliff. Nothing happened though despite my wild imaginings. Oh well, maybe next time!

Absolutely loved this. Came across this tale quite by chance. Story telling talent in heaps. As I was listening, I thought this is a Lovecraft/Machen tale set in the magical landscape of the glorious Welsh March and quite my favourite setting .... Wonderful. Early Phil Rickman, even, and awash with atmosphere? I'm a keen fan of this wild part of the country & been too long since I visited. Must look at your other content and loved your musings after the tale was told. I'm certainly enthused & send my best wishes to you! Recommend that your subscribers listen to the "Lovecraft Investigations" series of audio drama podcasts over on BBC Sounds (& elsewhere) as well worth a listen. Thanks again!
