All of the characters in this series have a significant role, i cant even mention one useless character... they are all main characters

Just like everyone elses lives were tragic. Even adam/jonas had so much pain in his life. But the older he got he knew more. Adam looks like complete villain in all of this, but its always Jonas, he just knows what must be done in order to stop the loop.

@@iDzikson you didnt understand the laws of this world. Adam wanted to make sure things happen as they are supposed to because the cycle was taking place and would always happen one way or another. . This was explained when they showed ulreich going back in time to kill hg doppler in two different worlds and both times he was unsuccessful and removed out of the equation by death or being locked up in prison for life. . Adam made sure the loop would happen because he knew it was impossible to change things during the cycle. Only when the new cycle begins, for a split second are things allowed to change. This was the moment Adam was waiting for. . He did not know about the 3rd world (origin world) and thats why his ultimate plan failed but his intentions was always to end things. He understood that the cycle had to complete and then only could he change things but he didnt account for the origin world that saw all his actions were what caused the loop in the first place.

To be certain, Noah would've had to have known of an older Adam already existing. Without that, in Noah's mind, there was a chance that he was destined to kill Adam as part of the timeline, and thus his gun wouldn't have jammed.

He tried to kill him because, at this point, they are at their oldest. Remember it was a young Noah / Hanno who told Jonas his older self existed. At that point all Noah knew was that Jonas / Adam will make it to old age and therefore time wouldn't allow Jonas to himself before then. Now as a grown, older man, he attempts to kill Adam to see if this was their destinies.

Because Charlotte is Elisabeths Mother. Without Charlotte there is no Elisabeth and so there is no Charlotte. To bring her out of her timeline would kill her

Charlotte and Elizabeth are each other's mothers. He can't pull Charlotte out. The most he could ever do is try and be a father to her, without interrupting the course events. Otherwise, both Charlotte and Elizabeth would cease to exist.

He didn’t know it was impossible. He didn’t know that Adam still had things to do that were fixed in time, for all he knew he could have killed Adam there. He didn’t know for example that Adam still had to kill Martha to cause his own existence, or at least didn’t think it through. To him Adam was fair game, and he was very wrong.

It's revealed that cause and effect breaks for a fraction of a second in 1986 when the incident occurs. During that briefest of times, if you're in the knot, you're not bound by it. When she found this out, from cycle after cycle of her older selves gradually both learning a little more and feeding a little more information to her younger selves, Claudia used it to speak with Adam and tell him how to finally break the knot, before she continued her usual role in the cycle (including her death).

It isn't confirmed, but Noah returned to the past from the 2040s into 1920, so presumably around then.

Eva's world has almost all the same characters. Remember, Eva kept the loop going via the Unknown and lying to Alt Martha.

Eva doesn't have the Nielsens or Franziska, since they died in the apocalypse in her world, but she has almost everyone else that we meet in Adam's world. And all of them (Bartosz, both Noahs, Claudia, Egon, and both younger versions of herself) work for Erit Lux, and basically go through the motions to create all the births needed for the knot.

I think it's because they need to kill and hide all that children so the cycle continues but I'm not really sure

He was using the kids as guinea pigs for a time traveling device. Them being sent through the portals is what helps the cycle continue.

For something to exist, it must be created first, the chair was the prototype of a machine to travel through time. For automobiles to exist, the wheel first had to be created, it is the same principle.

Noah discovered that his daughter Charlotte was also his mother-in-law. That's why he said: Your mother still loves you.

He specifically tells his younger self that he _won't_ explain how Adam betrays him and what's going on because he believes he's about to kill Adam, so he reasons that if he tells his younger self, his younger self will never go on the journey that will lead to this point. He believes he's tricking himself so that he can kill Adam. But he doesn't realize Adam has more actions that are fated and thus killing him is impossible. He then dies before he can warn himself.

He did warn himself, but it's only one time before he died. I believe if he didn't die, he'll warn his younger self more. The only mistake on his plan after he realized Adam betrayed him is, he doesn't know that was impossible to kill Adam at the time.
