I remember when my Dungeon Master used this track in Dungeons & Dragons game session while our party got ambushed by wolves in the dark woods. This soundtrack basically tells me: "You're surrounded by monsters. What are you going to do?"

The thing I love about the Darkest Dungeon battle music is, unlike other games, it isn't epic or heroic. The music is dark and gritty, just like the game, and it makes it sound like you're one step away from death at every moment.

In the hardest times of my life I imagine that tune playing in the background lol

My favourite song in the ost. The high pithed whistles with a low echo is what does it for me. My second favourite is the ruins' because all the chanting sounds so awesome.

Many fall in the face of chaos... but not this one. Not today.

This, combined with the squealing of pigs as my torch extinguishes, is enough to trigger my fight/flight reflex.

While the Cove has the most epic sounding track, the Warrens definitely has the grittiest and least friendly

All mosters, terrifying in their own way......but no other like the swine, these devils are monsters in their own tier...smart enough to craft blades and armour...and just as smart to use them...whats worse than a monster ? a monster that has intelect.....

I love the darkest dungeon it's got this cathlulu mythos kinda vibe to it , and even though you have to some small amount of strategy to have your characters survive the game is still fun. However it does make me rage a little bit when I lose an entire party because my healer character died from stress damage m, thus giving them a heart attack & causing the whole party to get wiped thus causing me to start over with whole new set of characters but other than that, this game is still fun, and each victory in the darkest dungeon feels worth fighting for and earned when you defeat tough monsters. It's a great rpg to anyone who loves dark fantasy rpgs like the dragon age games and whose has played all the dark souls games and want something new and interesting to play. Darkest dungeon is worth giving a chance.

This song is so epic but its also gritty and dark, like music you expect to hear this song in a Batman movie. The first time i heard this song, i was half expecting batman to swoop down out of the shadows and start throwing exploding Batarangs at the monsters in this game lol jk 😅 but seriously this definitely does sound like it would fit in a batman movie fight scene though.
