Epic tip for Myth: Some optional quests have unique bosses and they drop some insane weapons. Make sure to do the deposed king quest to fight one of the best bosses in the game.

As Death is considered the strongest Horseman, the game shows this by giving him Reaper form from the start and without unlock, as well as having him using it for various animations besides executions.

There are three DLCs that are included in the deathinative edition that you will unlock late in the game. I suggest you play them as you unlock them because that is how they are scaled. It is a little strange because you can only get to the DLCs through the main menu, but it uses the same character as your save file. So you will have everything you have in the main game when you enter a DLC and if you level up or get a cool item in the DLC you will get to keep that stuff when you go back to the main campaign.

Fun Fact: Lorewise Death’s Scythe is capable of Shapeshifting into different weapons so gameplay wise he’s only using his scythe just shapeshifting it into the alternate weapons

Death's summoned ghouls become very powerful if you follow the tree line with upgrades adding three of them, exploding when they die and fire damage. They're very great for taking agro away from you

If you shoot all the pots around the makers forge with Redemption it reveals a hidden chest just f.y.i. absolutely love your coverage and more so that you're loving the game Darksiders sadly is an underappreciated game franchise that deserves more recognition and credit than it receives..side note I'm surprised you're not playing and/or uploading Aeterna Noctis that game looks soooo friggin' hard lol like it's on par with Hollow Knight from what I've seen

Once you've reached about level 10, you may want to have a closer look at the possessed weapons. A fully leveled-up possessed weapon isn't that much stronger than some of the unique weapons you pick up (like the Masher of Karkinos), BUT they allow you to customize the weapon. Like, do you want a hammer that has high critical chance + critical damage + ice damage? Or scythes that regenerate your Reaper form quicker + higher execution chance + fire damage? Both are possible with possessed weapons =) By "feeding" other weapons (or armour/amulets) to the possessed weapon, you fill up a progress bar (it shows you beforehand how much/litte the item will fill up the bar). When the bar is full, the possessed weapon is leveled up (increasing the basic damage stats) and one special stat is added from the last item you spent. So you can dump a whole lot of underleveled/non-special items into the possessed weapon, and then for the level-up you use an item with a special stat that you want to add to your possessed weapon. You can do this four times I believe, so you end up with four different special stats.

There are certain combos with scythes for example Square, Pause, continue with Square, this is a reaper combo that generates a lot wrath and reaper energy, and it looks sick

Myth try breaking all the pots and boxes in dungeons. Secret chests will be revealed that contain unique weapon and armor sets. Not all dungeons have them, but the big main ones do. They are sick especially in design

I love when myth gets to the ramp ball he just uses six bombs to brute force it up. For everyone else, you’re supposed to just used the ball throw ability, but myth is just built different lmao

Quick tips: Redemption , while it has really low damage, because Death regains Wrath per hit you can use it to restore it from a distance. Pretty handy for bigger enemies and bosses I highly reccomend doing the optional bosses and the longer quest lines as they often reward some of the best weapons in the game The Abyssal Armor Set can be found in seperated parts across the game , mainly in additional content 2 pieces can be found in the Crucible, the arena mode in the lower left of the map. ( the first is given after wave 50 and the second after the final 100th wave) And the rest can be found as a reward for finding all 4 chapters of the Book of The Dead for Vulgrim

at the big ball puzzle where you had to take it upwards, you were supposed to press a button to use your spectral hands to throw it up, the hands that appear when opening a big chest but you found a way anyway, nice

This series is so fucking cool. Posessed weapons are end-game gear BTW, it's through them that you can really make a build, they inherit the modifiers from the weapons you feed them.

Little tip your scythe has more moves, if you pause the button presses some moves morph into larger harder hitting ones, These often have sweeping attacks or larger hit boxes as well as do more damage. Also about possessed weapons you can roll old gear into them to make your own ult weapon of each type, My own have 50% crit crit damage and life steal on scythe and my sub has mana steal. Some special abilities can be added too.

I never really found the time to play these series myself so I'm enjoying your playthrough. Thank you myth!

On the Darksiders wiki there's a list for what stone combination does what when you turn it in. One of the combination is crit chance.

So for the second comment-- it's been super fun to watch this new episode! I had forgotten about the Dark Avenger, so it was nice to see you get a Light Secondary weapon. To my knowledge, every Unique/Legendary weapon can have a unique effect, like that Omega Fire with the fire status effect spreading to other enemies. Or at least, stronger effects than normal weapons would have. I'd really love to see you check out every subtype of secondary weapon and their combos (you can see what combos are on offer at any time by checking out the combo list in the menu), for i'm interested in seeing what you will think of them, and at least give every new Legendary you come across a try in battle. Also, to refer to my big comment in the last video (if you haven't read that yet), don't forget that every secondary subtype has a unique charge attack. To make the best use of charge attacks, release them when the purple indicator is at its most intense rather than wait for it. The Buckler type subweapons like the Dark Avengers especially are a bit odd, as like i also said in my big comment on the last video, you have to hold their charge *right* as an enemy is about to hit you-- and Death will do a counterattack immediately afterwards, though i forgot if it's by releasing the Secondary weapon button or by pressing the button again immediately afterwards. So it's not just "Stand and defend" but rewards timing with massive damage. If you like risky play, go for it. With that said, i'm also very happy that you are loving the environments of this game. It's literally miles bigger than Darksiders 2, so to really explore the game with all its bosses on offer (also the DLC ones, which i hope for-- Argul's Tomb, Demon Lord Belial and Mad Forge) there's still a way to go. But i hope that the road itself will be very fun for you. And just the rest of the game on its own, too. With all that it has to offer.

The unique weapons often have special effects/abilities btw.

Well you got me hyped up to replay the darksiders games during Xmas break

Here is a helpful tip in case you haven't found out about it yourself: strength affects weapon and harbinger skill damage while arcane affects necromancer and reaper form damage. Good night or day depending on where you live

You get reaper energy mainly from reaper attacks, which you perform by delaying attacks with the scythe, for example attack/pause/attack/attack/attack. Also, you can farm it on the dummies in tri-stone so its actually pretty easy to get if you can be asked to do that.

Don’t forget to sacrifice things to possessed weapons to make them stronger. You get to really make your own weapons in this way

God it’s been so long since I finished Darksiders. Seeing you play this again Myth makes me want to replay all 3 and actually finish Genesis. Can’t wait for Strife to get his own game!

If I recall correctly, arm blades like the Omega Blades you got in this video have can be charged for a ranged attack which does a ton of damage.
