Normally I'd agree, but there's so many little things I dislike about this game that I feel they had so much potential with and fell short, like how Fury is supposed to be a mage and yet she's not really any more 'magic driven' than either Death or War.

It is a prequel, sure DS1 start first, but there is a large time gap between the intro of DS1 and when War returns to Earth. When they mean prequel, is telling what is happening before War actually starts off on his journey. By the time War actually returns, Fury and Death's story had already ended like 70 years ago

well, i guess Death and Fury were on different dimensions, but seems like Death was a few years after tho, because then there was no human survivors.

Then, when you get to the end of the game, and Death does a Leap of Faith into the well, the events of Darksiders 1 is coming to a close. 2 is a Prequel, and a bit of a parallel. 3 sounds like it's a bit of the same. Prequel/Parallel.

Cause modern gamers, You know ones who didn't grow up with some of these older games & if they would go back and play something like Prince of Persia Sands trilogy would call it mediocre and aged even though in my opinion most ps2 era games had better design philosophy and level design. Most ppl don't/can't play Souls-like game and hate it for being too difficult... And for fast-paced combat game like Darksiders to have that mechanics.... It offs many ppl... And also the game is not too long like games now a days which are like 50 to 100 hours long....

yeah, using the same weapon the entire way through, and armor with just some number boosts which are pre-placed so you can only get them at a certain point anyway makes the game pointless to me. The level design seems very generic, and you can tell by the detail on the main character that not much thought was put into it. It seems like a game without really anything special, and without any real content. So they just made the enemys overly difficult without any real reward. I'll pass. It got a 4 because they seen that the game lacked any content, and was just slapped with the SOULS combat to make it feel like a game. Take away that and what is left? literally nothing but a hack and slash with number boosts and generic design. 2018 and the boobs don't even bounce on her. What a joke.

Playing as Death way way to amazing. His agility and sheer power made him feel untouchable. Needless to say Kratos would have still killed him. :x lol

But The progression with New Powers helping solving puzzles and reaching New areas in platforming chalenges is more like a Metroid game

​@@petwisk2012An interview with some of the crew of Gunfire Games for IGN one guy said that the design level was strong based on Zelda e and the plataform and interconnecting world was the influence of Metroidvania type of game, after seen some reviews and gameplay i agree with that. (sorry for the writting erros if I made some, english isn't my first language).

Ice TheDragonslayer the work exactly like whips. Sure they are called the blades of chaos but they are basically whips, it's the same weapon type so quite being butt hurt.

Ice TheDragonslayer God of War 3 had 6 actual weapons. 3 weapons that operated almost exactly like whips with different colors,the Hercules gauntlets, the Olympus sword that you could only use in Spartan rage, and a bow and arrow... Still not much variety. I'm not saying the game isn't fun, but we've seen this before and it's nothing new.

Death was really boring to me since I have never liked scythes, sure he could use other weapons (boring heavy hammers/swords/axes, and the gauntlets/claws which were actually fun, but easily outclassed by the other two), scythes were the end game best weapons and they were dull to play as, not to mention one of the talent trees had you summoning mobs and auras to do the work for you wich again added to Death's dull gameplay, some reaper skills were fun tho but that was it. And the RPG element killed it for me, since I was so OP because of gear without even grinding for it, just some average drops which happened to have life steal and wrath steal (once you got ok drops of those stats and it is GG) after that the game goes to easy mode (played it in apocalyptic) and you are basically an inmortal-wrath spamming machine which requires minimal skill from the player. Game became so easy that I couldn't even finish the DLCs out of boredom, the only slight challenge was in the crucible later stages and it wasnt even that big. Really the only thing I enjoyed from DS2 was the open world (I wish DS3 had open world) and the OST. As of Fury's weaponry, she is looking good so far except for the hammer. The whips Im good with since I always liked castlevania and the flails seems fast and remind me of Death's claws weapons.

Agreed, having 10+ of the same items in your inventory and having to go selling or cleaning it every 2 hours got old really fast. RPG and hack & slash do not mix well imo. It should be about skill not gear, or a balance of both at best, but in DS2 it was heavily leaned towards gear.

Donno whats wrong with you weirdos. The loot system was awesome in DS 2 and it allowed you to customize Death to your play style. LOL at the one commenting that loot and action RPGS' don't mix. They are made for each other.

It's very nice to see that somebody ISN't hating on this game like sadly quite a few people here. I know i should be reserving my judgement, be it positive or negative, until i play the game myself, and people have their own opinions and i respect that, but it's sad to see so many people already being so negative on the game. I hope you'll have a lot of fun with your time with Darksiders III! :)

Imo it sounds better and more rounded/ filling the spectrum, as Death kind of covers those names. While Fury and Strife cover different aspects of life

lol I disagree strongly with all of you.

The checkpoints are horrible, when you die you almost start over from the whole dungeon, sure puzzles are done, but if you want to run back to where you die. well you are gonna face all the enemies you just killed, even the big ones.

@@100Predator They are not that horrible, vulgrim has alot of checkpoints and u dont rly need to fight all the enemies again u can just run past them, and the stronger u get in the game later on this becomes less of an issue
