Go for health steal instead of health on crit. Also, since you can't complete the Crucible until your 2nd playthrough, the first and second playthrough you need to use those stonebites correctly. My first playthrough, I used the stonebites to increase my critical chance, which is 2 power stones and 1 mystic. The 2nd playthrough I used them to increase my critical damage, which is 2 power and 1 resistance. I have 100% crit chance and 520% critical damage. Juggernaut gear helps, too.

War also faught this guy in the first game. Thumbs up if you beat the undead crap out of him in 45sec or less. (Not trying to grab attention, that's literally how much time it took me to beat him in DS1. Chaoseater was at maximum level.)

And he can actually block, unlike Death. Though I prefer Death since the closest War gets to wall-running is using the ledges and Death actually wall-runs. Makes up for the lack of a double jump on the Reaper's part.

One of the best moments I ever had when playing computer games was when I was with my cousin and we finally beat the Crucible and Wicked K. I dropped the controller just after Wicked K left and Death said: "This is no place for a horse" Best moment ever and we laughed for like 10 min.

quite doable with high execution, health on kill, and a decent proficiency at dodge counters(Many Darksiders 2 Enemies are designed to punish Dodge spamming unless its Perfect Counters) .

Idk but I got health and wrath steal and game is easy as fuck even on Deathinitive difficulty. Which is fine for me because my ultimate goal was to be super powerful in the game and now I am.

The same for me, i expected a tough boss but he was quite easy, even on apocalyptic. And it's kinda weird that i was able to fight him without completing the crucible first.

No, you get a card which gives you acces to his 'wave'. Just like you get cards to acces waves 1-25 and so forth.

My little brother did it by relying on maxing out his splodey ghouls and using Revenant and shooting him from a distance while dodging his silly card throw and moving away when he uses his hat to disappear and reappear behind you. It's the Avatar of Chaos that happens to be the hardest fight. This guy was literally a joke, I'm still laughing at it, so funny.

When I originally played darksiders 2 I never played this bit because I didn’t play new game +. I beat him on darksiders 3 and Genesis and he was a really tough fight. When I came back to this game I expected a challenge like the other two but he was laughably easy on this. Which was a little disappointing. I know he was easy in darksiders 1 as well but you didn’t need to spend multiple hours going through the crucible to get to him on that game. The hardest thing about the bloody crucible on this game is getting to the end without the game crashing.

I found this guy twice in darksiders 1 and beat him twice too... didn't know that Death Beat him first because War's time in Darksiders 1 was after he got freed 100 years later.

Iirc, he's got FOUR encounters in DS1? 1: That hidden tomb in the Choking Grounds? You need to pull a tombstone off it to enter. 2: the Twilight Cathedral, once you get that Abyssal Chain and can swing over the chasm at the entrance to the darn place? 3: Drowned Pass, in that pipe? 4: That road to Anvil's Ford, where you have that 'Pigeon-contest' with Ulthane? Go back there later, again wíth that Abyssal Chain and you can find him again, also a Chest with a Wrathshard...

you have to complete all 100 waves in a flow, you can't pick up from other levels.

I actually got Wicked K boss fight on apocalyptic after beating only the first 50 rounds. Guess the "Crucible in 1 go completion necesity" is just a rumour after all.

+flamedham He is most likely using black demise which you can get in the Soul Arbiters maze floor #5, though seeing as he used a wrath potion with it equipped it's probably not Black demise, and probably a possessed weapon. Not to sure about his secondary though but probably achidna's fang cause of the health steal. Black demise has an amazing effect of stealing wrath and health per hit, while with Achidna's fang, on every critical you get health depending on the damage. It might be the reason why he used so little potions. Like I used Guilotine and Achidna's fange. Guilotine has an extremely high critical chance where pretty much every hit is a critical, and it has massive critical damage. Together, you can raise your health from about half to full if you don't get hit. That is how I beat the Crucible at level 25 on nightmare. Though I like how it turned from telling you about his weapons to me bragging...
