Being the avid Spidey fan that I am, and being the Best Buy connoisseur that I am, it was a no brainer I'd add this Exclusive Steelbook set to my collection. But should every Spider-Man movie buff own this set or pass it in favor of other format options?

If it makes you feel any better blu rays have protective film on the discs so they are very hard to scratch

Brilliant review David as always. I went with the Origins trilogy pack w/ the Raimi trilogy and the SM3 editors cut; the whole package is a book and the discs are inside unique page sleeves, which are way better than the Legacy set imo. They got a bunch of pages with behind the scenes photos and stories around the making of the trilogy. Plus it was 20 bucks cheaper haha. there are 4k versions available. Also fun fact, that red spider on the Raimi steelbook is the symbol from the black Spidey suit from SM3; notice that the legs are more angular

I know this is a blu ray but I'm so excited for the new spider man game coming out this year

Also just have the actual blu part touching in the stack so only labels will wear, idk why hey would do that lol even my Harry potter collection is all separate and that's blu ray as well

Very nice Steelbook I went with the Digibook instead because I already own The Amazing Spider-Man 1-2 on Blu-ray but I bought the Spider-Man Trilogy again just because of the Editor's Cut.

The Blank Spines and Stacked Discs are the Only Things wrong with this. The Art looks pretty good, but I kinda wish for the ASM Steelbook, they used the First Film's Suit to Differentiate it from the Raimi Ones.

Ultra Violet is trash! But you should check out Movies Anywhere. You can link up all your libraries (movies anywhere, ultra violet, iTunes, (I think fandango?) ) - so you should be able to wrangle up the films in one central spot. If you're not into all that....I'd be happy to cop those codes :P
