Spoiler alert: So that's it.... Really? That segment with Evan in Chapter 5 is just the ending in a nutshell. But hey when you think about it, it makes sense. Potatoes IS the opposite of Flumpty. Flumpty is an multidimensional god, but HE PLAYS FAIR. Despite his sadistic nature, he kept his promise to the player for their freedom and sticks to the rules. The player may beat him a multiple times but he didn't go mad or anything. Well, except for his friends. They didn't go on his standards. Meanwhile, Potatoes is, in fact, a man made monster who is playing God that happens to be a sore loser. Dude's may be reasonable when it comes to explaining why he torture and promised a reward, but as the game progress, that facade just flew off to reveal his true intentions. He's so mad that one person managed to screw up his entire plan that he resolved to attack when the protagonist is has lowered their guard with false promises. Flumpty can end his protagonist at all cost but HE CHOOSES NOT TOO. Edit: Just watched the comics and oh boy, it got worse. Aside from being a parallel to Flumpty, he's also the parallel to Vladimir. Both of them suffered a miserable and sh*tty life. Their wives cheated with someone else and they got burdened by their losses. At the start, Potatoes promised to try controlling his inner demons but in the end, insanity had drove him to becoming the very monster he swore not too. Vladimir drinks his problems away, wishing for a simpler life. Yet, throughout the game, we can see that he regrets his actions and wants to go home. Despite his encounters, he remains mentally strong and being persistent in the very end. One strive for reeducation (change) the world for the better while the other changes himself with the same results. PS. Sorry for the rant.
