This is a condensed version of our 10 part Darling River Run series. Covering the entire Darling River Run, We travelled over 10 days from Bourke NSW through Louth, Trilby Station, Tilpa, Wilcannia, Menindee, Copi Hollow, Pooncarie & finally to Wentworth where we visit the junction fo the Darling & Murray Rivers.
What a terrific trip. A must do at least once in your travels....

I never get sick of watching outback videos. I enjoyed this one too. My Dad worked on Newchum Station as a 'roo shooter when I was 8 (59 years ago) . There was no bridge at Louth back then, just the old style ferry down from Shindy's Inn. Things have changed. Time for me to go back and revisit.

When I was 12 yrs my brother-in-law took me to Louth fishing on the Darling, 65lb COD were common, there was much more water in the rivers then and its a trip I'll never forget, I am 78 now one of the few things I can remember...lol...

Hi John What a great story! If my calculations are right it was back in the 1950s. Must have been a very different place back then. Not much Cod there today sadly At least lately there’s been quite a lot of water flowing down the Darling. Thanks for your comments Cheers Paul PMK3AUSTRALIA

Hi Paul. Thanks for your video. I'm planning a trip that way later this month but hesitant about the road from Wilcannia to Bourke. I have an AWD (not 4wd) but Trilby Station website says it shouldn't matter except for rain. What are your thoughts..thanks.

I would think it’s ok as long as there’s no rain too. Trilby advice would be the best to follow imo Enjoy your trip Paul PMK3AUSTRALIA

I see you don't have a stone guard of any sort, And how did you go with dust into your van and what did you do to stop it. TIA

Hi Rob. No I don’t have a stone guard & do get some stone damage on the front of the van as you can see in my videos It’s only cosmetic & I repaint it when we get home I did have longer mudflaps on the Dmax & that definitely helped keep the stones off the van but they got ripped off on the Tele Track Cape York 😂😂 The dust doesn’t get in our van as I have sealed it inside & out & cover lower vents when off road Been that way over 5 years now Works well Cheers Paul PMK3AUSTRALIA

I personally would not tow in the outback without a rock tamer or stone stomper. I have seen a lot of back windows smashed from not having one. Good luck.

Each to their own. We don't really have any problem with no guard. Been travelling without one for years Yeah the front of the van has a few stone chips We cover the rear window on the dmax so no problem there Chips on the rear door go along with the pinstripes on the sides. All adds character Not really fussed See heaps with stone protection that still have some damage Cheers Paul PMK3Australia.
