Hi Andrea, how are you doing my Crochet Bestie thank you so much. I agree I love the beautiful cherry blossom trees when they are in bloom and I think they did an amazing job with the color way for this yarn. I am not sure that I still want to make the bags, though I just see the yarn as something else so we will see what I end up doing. Cropped cardigan that I made was part of Crystal BOD when she had her design contest this was my entry. It was really fun to make, and I was so honored to be able to contribute to her challenge. 🥰👍🏽❤️

Hi Kim, thank you so much. The color way is so beautiful and I do think that it captures the beauty of the cherry blossoms when they bloom however, I am really find it hard to see it as a silk bag and I just think maybe it might be better suited for something else so we will see. 🥰

Hi Pricilla , thank you so much my YB! I agree. They really did a wonderful job with the color way and definitely. It captures the beauty of the cherry blossoms when they’re in bloom. I’m still not convinced that I wanna make a bag with the silk yarn, though as I kind of see it is something else on the lookout for an idea as I am mulling it over as I write this response, you know I’m always thinking and trying to be creative as you are. Hi my dear friend I hope you’re doing Zee. Yes, this is a beautiful color way and I do think that they did such a wonderful job of representing the beautiful cherry blossom trees. It’s almost a shame that they want it to be made into a bag. I’m still not convinced that I’m gonna do a bag though.🥰❤️

So good to see you. Not sure how much silk I have used. Did use some recycled silk fabric strips (could be used as bulky yarn) , not sure where it came from (might not be DGY), but was very disappointed when I washed it and the black binding ran onto the fabric in the dress I had made. My opinion, be aware, recycled natural fibers especially may bleed, frequently overdyed and dyes used may bleed and fade. Silk as a wearable is very good in warm and cold weather. Just wash to set the dye, acid sets one kind of dye, salt a different type of dye. Silk maybe durable too but not as durable if left in sunlight long periods (not as UV resistant as linen for example, I have heard.

Hi Karen thanks so much my friend ! You always have wonderful and insightful information and I appreciate it ! Knowing that the silk fiber is particular definitely should help with choosing what to make with it. I had not thought about the transfer of the colors when I looked at it but perhaps something can be used to slow it down 👍🏽 and the temperature you mentioned is a good idea 🥰❤️ Thanks and have a great week!

@@MindfulCraftsMore Sorry tend to natter on especially I have been caught out (had a problem with something). Was so disappointed when my binding ran (color bled) into my dress. Used all sorts of things to try and remove the "stains", was not very successful in fixing.
