the reason they get more attention is because they are actively promoting themselves, THEY are the reason they are getting more attention and they are reaping the rewards of it, if other teams want the same coverage then should promote themselves on a similar level to Wrexham, you can't sit there doing nothing and complain when people who are promoting themselves are getting more attention than you. What a dumb take.

We’ve put up with reading about particular clubs since forever. Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Leicester when they were shocking the world winning the prem (I loved that). Business needs exposure, exposure improves success (the right kind and even the wrong kind on occasion). That’s where R&R are doing a great job coupled with their work ethic, business acumen and their genuine desire to do well by the club and the town. I don’t see why anyone would have a particular issue with Wrexham 🤷‍♂️ The current exposure doesn’t only benefit one club, it’s having a positive knock on effect across the board. It’s a fantastic example of what club ownership should look like and how a club should be run. Exposure to such a positive story should be an inspiration to everyone.

Wrexham fan here. I see no problem with this. MacAnthony talks sense and is fair. Lots of praise where it is due. He's allowed to push back against the weight of media attention in Wrexham's favour. Its only right that he does so. As for definitely being a famous actor if he wanted to.......that's a separate discussion. But you've got to admire the man's confidence. His podcast is well worth a listen too. Good insight into running an EFL football club.

Well, if this isn't the right way which is? They enhance the club with their own resources in a brilliant way, they spend as much as other owners in cash but they use their reputation and fame to make the club famous as well

It would be such an issue down the line. Athletes will start taking more experimental stuff to try and get a leg up and they will take more and more risks just to get on top. It will spiral and be unmanageable. The solution wouldn't be 'Give all of the athletes the same stuff to make it fair' because then what's the point? Its a lot more impressive to achieve something without 'advantages' than it would be to juice yourself up.

What he is saying right in a way. Boxing is full of dope cheats as is Athletics and lots of other sports. If the Drug enforcement officers had more teeth and banned drug cheats permanantly it wouldnt happen as much . Let them all cheat then its a level playing field.

To be fair though, other clubs need to do stuff worth reporting. I've been there as a Wrexham fan where we just weren't worth peoples time and you had to scroll down a long way to see if Proctor and Sonner will be kept on next season. They need to make people care about what they're doing at their clubs or people wont care about them.

it's not cheating if it's within the rules. the point of the guy on call was Olympics as it is, has people using performance enhancing drugs underground because it's illegal. which is cheating. but in enhanced games, performance enhancing drugs are legal. so it's fair play to use it. everyone's on level playing field. no one will have to hide anything because it's legal. so not cheating.

Demand and Supply. Media won’t do extra coverage if there is no extra demand. If Wrexham can generate more demand than others, then it’s unfair to Wrexham if they get the same coverage as other teams.

Cheating - act 'dishonestly' or 'unfairly' to gain an advantage. In the enhanced games there are no rules around doping so cheating wouldn't exist. It's a really good idea to see how far we could physically push the human body, I'm all for it and looking forward to viewing it as are millions of other people. Jim is being very closed minded on this subject which is very unlike him, maybe he's been asked to speak negatively about it for a fee??

Hmm I see what you mean, but I don’t think it’s really seeing how far you can push a human body. Not naturally at least. A human body can go 100mph in a car, but of course that’s not natural either. Maybe that’s a bad analogy, but I hope you get my point. I think the existing Olympics with no performance for enhancing/artificial results is better in my opinion. But if they’re going to do it and there’s no health concerns for competitors, and people want to watch it, then good luck to them

What I came here to say. Thank you, saved me a good 10 mins! PED don't turn the average Joe into world beaters. A boost to training endurance, recovery and muscle growth obviously gives benefits but a scientifically investigated percentage increase would be interesting with a competition to show off the results...why not

It’s losing its Disney appeal. It’s new and fresh and deadpool is massive. It will pitta out as marvel will. It’s just a moment in time right now and it’s not what it was already. @@Red_Snappa There is a term called hate-watching and people love to hate-watch media, actually I don't think it's hate-watching, more like jealousy-watching in the case of Wrexham AFC. Because Rob and Ryan are able to continuously get peoples eyeballs to consume Wrexham content this further amplifies Wrexham's profile and this wasn't some kind of secret either they literally said this on Welcome to Wrexham season 1. They openly said they were going to use there celebrity status and business skills to promote the team and the town.
