As 12 Waukesha County jurors enter their first full day of deliberations in the Darrell Brooks trial, Brooks asks for a mistrial after a poster claimed to be a juror in the case. Brooks faces 76 charges in connection with the Waukesha Christmas parade attack in November 2021. Those charges include six counts of first-degree intentional homicide. He would face mandatory life in prison if convicted of any of the homicide counts.

In my humble opinion, I believe the convicted defendant( as I can now call him) did have knowledge of this reddit post. Although, calls are monitored in the jails; I am sure there was a way to communicate things desired. He now uses the prison library to research case laws. The timing to me seems very suspicious. Brooks wants a mistrial. This now convicted felon will understand that your actions have major and severe consequences. There wasn't any remorse for the victims and the families. The entire community was essentially destroyed. His actions will never he forgotten. Physical wounds may heal; however the emotional scars can never be healed. This monster's actions and disregard for human life is beyond unspeakable. To me life in prison isn't enough justice. I don't think he will ever feel remorse.

@karlaDlaine100 He's been in jail for a whole year, likely has jail mates who're willing to help him. During the first phase of the trial, he claimed one of the jurors shot him 'the finger' when leaving the courtroom and demanded the judge call it a mistrial immediately. He had no proof, every inch of the courtroom has cameras but not for his use.and he couldn't identify which juror it was. He's not done yet, either. Note that he only raised his head from the desk to stare at the jurors when they were polled. He appeared to be memorizing each one's appearance for some reason. Idiot! He spent a year in jail learning 'loop' holes so he could walk free when he should've been studying basic Criminal Law for the state of Wisconsin. His long, drawn- out closing worked against him. This was the longest trial with the shortest verdict time in history! He did this to himself- All of it! LOL He really believed he was gonna walk and asked the judge to remove his ankle chains even before the verdict was read. She didn't respond and he wanted a legal precedent on why not. Babysitting's Over. The sentencing is gonna be really MANIC.

What gets me about his argument here is that he claimed throughout the trial that he didn't have access to the law library but here he rattles off case law and the arguments quickly. It doesn`t make sense that someone posting a comment on an internet site could derail an entire trial . So when a defendant can see the game is about over for himself, all he needs is to send a friend down to the library and post a comment on a site. BINGO. Trial over. Dismiss the Jury. Indeed our Judicial System is not that lame. Who needs an Attorney? You are one post away from freedom. Who Knew?

I don’t think anyone can be dismissed, especially Brooks. I find it ironic that even before law enforcement has submitted a report, Brooks wants a mistrial, like that was unexpected. You can believe Brooks sovcits family friends all will be considered suspects, I myself look forward to yet another issue that has sprung up in this case. That the judge is stressed should be a understatement. I think it was someone related in some way to Brooks or representative for the defense. Remember he has nothing to lose and a lot to gain. I expect it won’t be the last, I hope everyone is cognizant of their surroundings while coming and going. Brooks is rather insignificant however sovereign citizens are not, so any number of them could have committed the crime, one thing is for certain whoever it is shut things down pretty quick however I’m sure the investigators won’t have a hard time finding the culprits.

That’s not a stretch considering he was out on TWO SEPARATE BONDS FOR VIOLENT CRIMES. In July he shot his illegally owned gun at his nephew. Because the state couldn’t provide a speedy trial , his bond was lowered and he was released on bail. About 2 weeks before the parade , while out on the prior bond, Brooks hit or ran over Erika with his car. She’s in a walking boot (soft cast) in the videos. He was given $1,000 bond for that and released AGAIN. A few days later he went after Erika, again. He blamed her for being arrested and was hounding her to repay the bail money. He tried to hit her with the car AGAIN , but Cory pulled her out of the way. He drove off , right into the parade. He also has an ACTIVE warrant from Nevada for THE LAST 15 YEARS, for not registering as a S** Offender. Erika was the 15 year old victim in that case , also. The injury DV abuse with the car was ruled to be too prejudicial to come in. I disagree because it was so close in time to the parade and the bail money was the reason he was after Erika that day. I do think the fact that he was out on low bonds for two separate violent crimes , lays at the District Attorney’s feet , so the families of those killed and injured might be owed billions, as you noted.
