"I could've been dead." Racing at unprecedented speeds to win was the singular focus of Darrell Waltrip. At the peak of his career, he won two consecutive championships. "I was at the top of my game. We were unbeatable." And while he may have been the best on the track, NASCAR fans hated his ego and it bothered him.
Sure of the dangers in racing, Waltrip never believed it would happen to him. It did. And one accident on the track drove him to seeking out a more definitive purpose in life. His story reflects the importance of humility even if you are the best.

I followed his career from the time he started racing until he retired, He was one of the best to ever set in the seat, In his younger years i didnt care for his attitude, But the TRANSFORMATION to where he ended up is remarkable. DW you became the man.

AMEN!!! DW is one of the greatest drivers & reps of NASCAR, and Christ helped him to arrive there. As of my comment posting, there are obviously 7 people who hit the dislike button who need Christ now more than ever. I sure hope & pray they find him before it's too late.

You can have all this world has to offer, but unless you have Jesus Christ in your life, you will always know there is something missing. The "GOOD NEWS" is that Jesus came so that we might experience fullness... DW reveals that he essentially "HAD IT ALL" but still came to realize he needed God. Thanks DW for sharing your experience. We can all learn from it.
