I'm surprised he even managed to get into a car - a level that high is often fatal in itself

shocked they didn't mention this on the cast. it's like they were trying to airbrush the mistake he made out of the incident; in actuality, it probably would have been much more poignant to use the accident to highlight the dangers of drinking and driving.

Over 6 times over the limit . Drunk out of his mind . Luckily he only killed himself and not anyone else.

Millaine wasn't a thug. He was just a man who lacked discipline off the field and it got him killed. I refuse to raise Millaine up as an example to anybody because of it (driving home absolutely pissed), but he was a good player who inspired team mates, especially playing the 1990 Grand Final with a broken thumb. Some people need to stop swearing in some of these posts unnecessarily. You only make yourselves look and sound like incorehent neanderthals.

He was only a kid mate and still learning I’ve gone DUI twice before and grown up a hell of a lot since then People make mistakes it doesn’t mean they’re bad people His intentions weren’t bad here he never planned to kill himself he never killed anyone else It’s a great tragedy and I disagree with you that he can’t be spoken of highly

Yeah I still remember that day like it was yesterday in a way, I remember the day it happened this man about in his 50's in my local area was working on power lines& on his truck had the number 42 in black tape he told us it was his son.True story I don't know if it really was Darren's dad or not that day but obviously always remember that.anyway I remember Millane on the field was a real bull& warrior,I'm a Carlton supporter but still loved the way he played his footy:)

The dude was drunk to the next universe at a level that most people would be unconscious at, but people are treating him as some sort of hero and role model. A great role model for sure.

@38Sport2002 How can a dead guy enjoy a premiership?
@Starwithnonname7 жыл бұрын
I would be curious to know if he killed a family while driving drunk, would everyone be coming out of the woodwork to say what a great bloke he was - or would they not want to know him. It was only luck he didn't kill other people. He was highly paid, so he could have taken a taxi home. In short, he was a dumb, inconsiderate, irresponsible and brainless bogan. Let's not make him out as anything more.
@kieraingeaney64377 жыл бұрын
Can you just not?
@Starwithnonname7 жыл бұрын
I would if people stopped making him out as some kind of hero, and top bloke. He wasn't. Let's just say - it's a shame he died. That's the problem with society these day - we are prepared to elevate shit that doesn't deserve to be.
@kieraingeaney64377 жыл бұрын
listen i don't give a shit what you THINK about Millane! how many sick kids have you visited in hospital? oh none? then shut up hero!
@Starwithnonname7 жыл бұрын
He's such a nothing I don't even have an opinion about him. Visiting kids in hospital - what, so they could all hero worship him and he could get his ego stroked. That's about all he could do - anyone with a slight adult intelligence recognised him as a dumb arse. I give to charities because I earn decent money as a business owner, because I have about a million times more brain cells than someone who drives pissed out of their brains and potentially kills people. Did he care that he might have killed someone driving home pissed? No.
@kieraingeaney64377 жыл бұрын
go fuck yourself scumbag make you feel good talking shit about a guy you never met? yeah you're such a fucking hero flog!
