I have always wondered why captains do not interact with the coaches during play. I have always said why doesn't the bench send out some signals as to how to set fields, where to hit the ball, what the Duckworth Lewis situation is, etc. Is it illegal in cricket, or is it just something that just isn't done? i understand that cricket is a very strategic game and the captains must handle the game on the fly. We see, and accept, this kind of coach interaction in football, netball, boxing, the NBA, the NFL, and we accept it. What's so different about cricket? T20 is so dynamic and strategic that all factors must come into play. Lef de coa ch alone. he has to speak to his captain and any other player if he feels the need.

Nothing is wrong with what the coach did. As far as I saw ,he was just helping the captain to make the best decision in the interest of the team winning. While the captain coach and management team came to a decision on how to approach the game ,it is fine with me if the coach identify a weakness in the opponents ability and advise the captain accordingly.

Sammy is doing great job with the team. When the team looses,we always beat up on the coaches and not the captain inability to read the game properly. So Sammy is ensuring that they keep the game plan

I was at the game in trinidad against NZ when Sammy was walking around the field. Everytime they spoke you saw that they were intune with each other. Even if you don't see it with other teams, it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. They might send out thr 12th man with the message. So what if Sammy wants to cut out the middle man deliver his own message?

I didn't necessarily have a problem with it, I was just wandering if that is even allowed. I have never seen that before. I know the coach can send messages to the middle, like if a new batsman is coming in, or if the 12th man is going in to bring water, but I have never sent he coach out in the middle during the break or at the boundary rope talking to the captain. I figured there was a rule against that but I guess there isn't/.

I saw it too but i found it as something to laugh at. So i started to 😂 😂. But to be honest at one point during the second innings WI captain looked frustrated....so I think that is why Sammy was there.
