These are fun to watch! I’ve only ridden the blue line back in the 90s when it was still free. It only went from Ledbetter to Pearl. Going through the subway tunnel there is on my bucket list

The one accessory that would benefit everyone's ears is to fit Wabtec AA-2 horns to these railcars. Look up a SEPTA Broad St. Live video to hear them.

I was travelling on this back in April 2024 between Galatyn Park and DFW. For a tram network, it is very impressive and so amazingly cheap to travel on. Much cheaper than the UK.

almost 2 hours to get to the airport is insane. I love the horn sound though.

It should take 1.5 hours normally. Extra train traffic due to extra State Fair trains and the broken down train in Irving. 1.5 is long too, but this ride encountered a few out of the ordinary situations.

The orange line's route is intended for people near Downtown to get to the airport, but because downtown doesn't have train parking it still goes to Parker Road, thats why DART is building a new silver line that goes afster, direct from near Parker Rd to the airpprt

That’s FRA rule. DART doesn’t have that rule on light rail tracks.

Cool video! What's the tunnel leading off to the side right before the Cityplace Station at about the 31 minute mark?

Good eye. Those are air vents to the outside. There are 4 of these short tunnels around Cityplace Station. One before and one after the station in both directions. I plan on doing a video about them eventually. They are not particularly fascinating or mysterious, but there isn't much else to see down there.
