I’ve been a commercial fisherman in BC since 1990 NEVER had to work in fishing enhancement. Rules made up by officials from Ontario with No experience. Majority of salmon caught are from US hatcheries and now turns out there will be no salmon opportunities for at least 6 years Fish 2 weeks catching springs and non retention of coho then 2 weeks later catching coho and non retention of springs. Now we have to use barbless hooks. Management is usually where and what you CANT catch systematically wiping out the best producing grounds. Holding public meetings for input during active openings. What’s wrong with these people!!!!!!?

Absolutely disgusting behaviour by the Minister! They are always "reassuring" us that they are "very concerned" about the environment/fisheries/wildlife as they consider big business projects which will destroy them. Liberals are no better than the Conservatives on these issues.
