Except, that top players don't grip the dart!😮 Gripping a dart is a fallacy manipulating the dart so as it grips you is the actuality. If you grip you have to release it before you can release the dart. Nearly everything you are advised on in Darts is absolute guano!

My opponent kept hitting the treble 20 meaning they were getting to a double quicker, giving them an unfair advantage. This caused big controversy within the darts community 🤣🤣

A KZfaqr was accused of dragging out a videos length by repeating phrases over and over so that he could make his video over 10 minutes long. This would have given him an unfair advantage in the algorithm on KZfaq. This incident damaged his reputation, and caused a lot of controversy within the community.

Sorry, hold on, so Peter wright cheats every match by changing them, modifying your darts mid match isn’t illegal, also, chalk is legal, and so is grip crème, it’s literally advertised on Red Dragon that Whitlock uses cream 🤣😂😂

Even a non-darts player like me was confused at all the accusations of moving another opponent's darts, or fiddling with them. The only darts a player touches are their own. And they have their darts on them throughout the match.

Snooker players often cheat as well. They've been seen putting chalk on the end of their cues between shots, and sometimes even wiping the cue down to reduce drag. It causes a lot of concern about cheating in the sport.

My dad was a pretty good darts player in the local pub league. When he was alive he won many matches but when he died his opponents often won. I accused them of taking advantage of his death and this caused much controversy in the darting community.

The only controversy there has ever been in top flight darts was when Keith Deller beat the best in the world to become the world champion in 1983 and people were saying it was because of spring loaded points in his darts. That was rubbish and following a short ban they were soon allowed back into tournament play.

In 2019 Donald Van Dartsouche hit a treble 1, treble 1 and treble 5 and the announcer score it 69 as he had assumed it was a treble 20. Donald didnt say anything and his opponent Chris Doublenine was taking a sip and his Earl grey tea during the last shot so he didnt see it either. This leg ended up being the difference maker as Donald won the match 6-5. Moral of the story....dont believe everything you read on comments

Tampering with an opponent's darts is the big NO - disqualify for it, much like deliberately breaking tempo, but making changes to darts to give greater accuracy? Where does that come from? The darts still have to hit what is being aimed at on the board!
