Phil Taylor is the most dedicated darts player ever. He's sacrificed a lot to be so successful, not going on holidays with his family, instead staying home to practice. A great example to any young darts player who wants to succeed in darts.

These were some of the best check-out's by Phil Taylor, and just when he needed them. This man has ice running through his veins !!! No shame MVG, as this was a fantastic game of darts. Well done to both competitors. (Truth be told, I was actually rooting for MVG... no disrespect, Phil)

Phil Taylor the greatest darts player in the history of the world - I first met & saw him at Lakeside 90, he has a bad reputation, but I met him maybe 10 times and he was always very friendly and kind to me. No player will have the monopoly and dominance on titles & championships like Phil, I think too many are drawn for the money and don't mind not winning as long as they get a decent pay - The only thing that mattered to Phil was winning - Even now I think he would still win titles, especially if he could be motivated.

I honestly don't think you can say much about MVG or Taylor being the better player for a long time yet. Taylor's career has ended after 30 years, where as MVG is just halfway there. Taylor won 78 PDC titles over 30 years, MVG has won 35 in 17 years yet. That seems pretty equal to me so far.
