Marveling at Todd still bringing it at 74 years old, had no clue that Daryl Hall is older than him, dude will be 76 this year and hasn't lot a step... 😮

I have seen Todd twice but have never seen Daryl. My favorite episodes of Daryl’s House are the ones with Todd. So awesome when they’re together.

Yeah. The reason we don't see Darryl is that he has Lyme disease which is devastating. If you only knew what strength he has to do this. 🙏🏼🌹💔

😘 my gosh Mr rungrand I had the honor of attending your concert in Central Park some 40 years ago or more it was your birthday that night and I remember you sitting off fireworks and just sitting on the end of the stage it was good to see you enjoy your birthday hope it was. I've been a big fan of yours for many many years and all I can say sorry is that I'm glad whether you think you deserve it or not I do that you are recognized in a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame thank you for the years I've enjoyment you have brought to my life even way back when I was a teenager. Take care of yourself oh tell Daryl Paul I have always been all struck by his voice he's got a good one you're not too shabby yourself this is such a joy to see.

I've seen Todd over a dozen times. Been a fan since Nazz Nazz. First time I ever saw him was on The Mike Douglas Show, of all places! Soupy Sales was cohosting & his kids Hunt & Tony Sales were in Nazz. Their hit song was Open My Eyes, which Todd recorded also on his first solo album Also have the Hall & Oats album he produced & played on...War Babies (Son of Zorro).

Great post! Time goes fast! A preteen when Todd's song, I Saw the Light--came out. Hall & Oates great hits since mid '70s.

@@deschutesmaple4520 I love Todd Rundgren. You have to understand he's gone through decades of singing and recording. Let alone ageing and the voice naturally deteriorating with it. It is very impressive he's still able to do this. He's human too.

@@hklinker Yea, I was there last night. This version, this video, is a poor rendition of Wait for Me. It's just not a good song for Todd's vocals. Last night, Daryl was amazing and that band is just so incredibly fabulous. Todd was the weakest link on that stage.

Longtime appreciator of Daryl and Todd (and Daryl's House band), and have seen this tour twice. Yes! QUESTION: What is Daryl signaling to sound crew when he repeatedly taps with palm to cover his mouth? Turn up his mike, turn it down? Add or remove a special effect? What? Please advise. Thanks.

Todd's voice is fading fast. I still love him and Daryl. I saw Hall & Oates at this venue last year and they had the same issues with the FOH sound.

Yes, Todd opens the concert. Daryl and Todd perform separately for an hour each and then sing a few songs together. Don't miss it if you get a chance!

I saw this show at the Chicago Auditorium. Bass was booming to a point where I could not discern the pitch of the bass guitar. The sound guy had an absurd amount of reverb on the bass drum. You can hear some of it on this recording (still be friends) which took place eight weeks later. I could not stay for the whole show. The dense heavy reverberation on the low end ruined the sound. Worst live sound I've ever heard in an auditorium designed for optimal acoustics.

A lot has to do with their vocal range & strength of voice to start with. On our end? A matter of personal taste, maybe. Mr. Rundgren can belt it just fine ("Expressway.."), and if he's a little pitchy? Well, he's in his 70s now. I just love that they're both still working, sharing, and enjoying themselves. ❤

This is one of my favourite songs but this is the worst version of it that I've heard. Slow, rough. And not the same passion. I've got over 20 versions on my ipod and CDs shows to go and there are son many others on the web. The LFDH is far better with these two.

Todd is singing differently, emphasising different things. Still very musical, but he doesn’t have that high, clean, effortless tone of his earlier years. Consumate musician though and there’s lots of value in what he’s doing.

OK, I saw them last night. Todd must have been tired in this video above, and, I know he loves the song Wait for Me but it's just not a good song for him and his vocal range. I found he was not a strong performer last night, but he was still entertaining and working hard for his money. He kinda was out of synch with the band a few times, as he was changing-up the speed/pace of some of the lyrics. Now, Daryl Hall? Whoa, talk about a top-notch pro who still has it! And that Daryl's House band? I once thought, watching the Daryl's House show on TV, that they must do some really good TV editing. I mean, how could that drummer (Brian) be just THAT good? Well, I got to see it last night. That band IS just that good, esp the drummer!.

Changing up the speed/pace of the lyrics…I think I know what you mean. And actually I think he really is trying to do it differently, in that case with different vocal phrasing. Sad to hear it wasn’t working well live.
