He's very attentive and probably controls the content of those brochures. It strikes me as a smart marketing move to never admit to the fact that there are no real mysteries to loudspeaker design (all experience and hard work, that is, on a high level of excellence).

@@LeonFleisherFan - I understand fully, but I don't agree with about loudspeaker design. The usual 2-Way LR4 speakers that are deemed well-designed, even well engineered, but they sound rather uninspiring. _Ho-hum_ in fact. I have some ideas about that and they are being tested in a very scientific way. Designing speakers that puts 'distance' between the amplifier and speaker actually leads to the sound coming out of the box. 1st order filters actually sound better (and they have real challenges there too) because of what happens on the electrical side rather than the acoustic side. But there is a slow movement towards better understanding the amplifier (voltage source) and loudspeaker interface (linear motors only respond to current and not voltage), and some active speakers even use 'current-drive' on the midrange - and the result is a more natural open sound. It no longer seems confined to the box, more inner life, detail and so on. It's a big subject.

@@LeonFleisherFan - Hi Leon, I am in fact investigating one of the 'secrets' used in Wilson loudspeakers. It is a trick that has been used by others, some famous named involved, but they are quiet about it. I have a friend who used to repair Wilson speakers and I asked about a certain feature in the Crossover and he confirmed it. I can hint that it is about current delivery from the amplifier and where the current goes.
