I'm Italian this music is always beautiful to listen to even if I don't understand much of what he says even though I've done a lot of research on this singer and I know that the lyrics of a lot of this artist's music were prayers, in my opinion he is one of the best artists ever! My dad said he met the late Lal Chand. His story is that my dad and his college friends went and got a bottle of sharaab (with great difficulty since they were quite young and could get in trouble with college officials) to gift it to him when he came to do a concert at their college. The elderly Yamla Jatt took the gift,opened the bottle, touched it to his forehead and told them to enjoy it. He wasn’t a drinker. He said he got his kicks from his music.
