New York outfit rap outfit Das Racist is equal parts intelligent and absurd. Even at their most comedic, both of these mixtapes are reinforced with a thin layer of social critique. But when things get serious, well, things really don't get all that serious.
While Shut Up, Dude doesn't have the consistency of Sit Down, Man, both are extremely fun and fresh rap releases. It's music that doesn't care what anyone things. I've always been the type of person to gravitate toward that personality. If you're the same, then jump on the bandwagon.
What do you think of these mixtapes? Love 'em? Hate 'em? Why?

Looking back on it these dudes were ahead of their time. 2010 was a nascent time for the themes they put forth. Would be more relevant today.

In my circle, we pronounced das as däs, with the long 'a'. It really bothered me to hear Anthony continually say das (dahs), even though the joke came out of a meme and is more korreckt than u think. But plz. Däs Racist, one time, stealz irony beer. People in the street eating chickin an meat.

I know my Opinion doesn't matter now but I personally find Shut up Dude to be wayyy more Enjoyable. The Beats on Sit Down, Man are just too slow tempo & the Charisma is just not there; so Consistency doesn't mean much when most of the Production & Flows are Boring AF.

wanna let you know the new Cee Lo Green album, The Lady Killer dropped onto the net. I went ahead and downloaded Sit Down, Man because of course the p4k suggestion, but haven't really listened to it too much. When I do listen to it, I happen to like it because mostly the references. "Dis song is better den..'Juicy'" It does seem kind of like a joke but they do have some interesting content. liked sit down,man man

I think the Ironicness(If thats a word) of Shut Up, Dude really makes the album stand out. You wouldn't really think it but the lyrics are not only hilarious, but clever and fit and flow in some kind of way that no one can really understand. Now, as mindless as these lyrics may be they make you think as much as any other more intensified lyricist such as Bon Iver of Mumford and Sons.

@whatupmaaan dude. you're crazy if you think ludachris is still as good as he was when get back was released. He's collaborating with prepubescent Arron Carter clones. And his rhymes are so lack luster and simple, that a 14 year old noob could freestyle lyrics just as complex. I've listened to rap my whole life and i used to like ludachris until he became played out. i would rather listen to das racist reference jeff koons and rap about gentrification any day. at least theres substance there.
