The third day of Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Chandraghanta, who is the married form of Goddess Parvati. She adorns herself with half moon placed on her forehead in the shape of bell. after getting married to Lord Shiva and that's the reason she is known as Maa Chandraghanta.
