She is of the (mistaken) belief that because the tram is stopped, the car must also stop. (For those not aware, this isn't applicable in her case; that particular tram stop has a traffic island and safety barriers, so cars can keep moving even if the tram isn't. Cars must give way to tram passengers boarding or disembarking only at unprotected tram stops.)

I blame the draconian speed limit enforcement by our brave heroes at QPS. Everyone is determined to stick to the 59.9kmh that they're entitled to because they won't slow down and then risk going a bit over to make it up after. I see the same every time someone is turning left, the person following nearly rear ends the turning car rather than slow down for a second. @jonathanhandojo12 күн бұрын
This is actually an interesting scenario because this sort of right turn is quite common... now I don't know if the right turn performed by the grey sedan is legal, but I've seen places where it is. If both vehicles are waiting to turn, both drivers would be blind from seeing any incoming vehicles from the camera's lane... so, in such a situation, how could one avoid this?
@zech789611 күн бұрын
@@jonathanhandojo Nah yeah every time I turn from that particular intersection, I do the unthinkable that no one else does, which is optimizing the space of the turning lane and actually like being in the middle of the road, unlike other people, they just stop looking straight in the turning lane, making them have poorer visibility. By being in the middle of the road I mean turning in to the right more so I can see past the cars in the other turning lane ahead.
