Happened to me many years ago, I was in front on an uphill slope, manual car in traffic, turned around to get something out my bag that was on the back seat (this was pre mobile phones days, so it wasn't that) and because I twisted my body a bit to do that, I didn't realise I had released the pressure on the brake pedal slightly, so then I slowly rolled back without feeling it, felt a thud, got out and asked why they bumped into me, and was told in no uncertain terms "you slowly rolled back into me" lol. Luckily it was a car with a bullbar so no damage done to them and a couple of slight depressions on my rear bumper lol. Now I know to put the handbrake on and/or pay attention always :)

@@Tinman1287 we don't know what speed they travelled at so it would be impossible to say for certain whether they broke any law. 78 may be an educated guess based on the RPM of the motor but in and of itself not enough. Now you could point to the dash cam reported speed but that is notoriously inaccurate and certainly would not hold up in a court of law.

It happened to me once, I was sitting at a red light and some guy just reversed into me. Walked up to my car, looked at my front bumper and gave me a thumbs up and drove off (through the red light). He’d actually cracked the paint after I had JUST had the car repainted so I was fuming. Luckily had dashcam and got it sorted

Most bus companies get fines for buses being late and drivers get a reprimand for not keeping to the schedule, and they can be pretty tight.

I've seen this happen, and a woman got out and started YELLING at the stationary other vehicle she just ran straight into, in a parking lot - she wasn't going fast, it happened so slowly - two people were beeping to get her to stop - and she thinks it wasn't her fault ? how!?

I'm not saying I know you're wrong, but let me pretend I'm you so I can make some assumptions too. 1) No helmet equals idiot, nothing more. Motorcycle thieves will usually wear full face helmets both to hide their identity, and to protect them when they run. A normal rider will just cop the no helmet fine if they take the risk. 2) No rego doesn't mean they don't have a UVP for it. I've legally driven many unregistered vehicles on UVP's to move them around. It's cheaper than a tow, or even hiring a trailer so you can move it yourself. 3) No licence? You can't possibly know that, unless you know them. Have you seen how little gear some fully licenced riders wear? 4) Stolen? Again, you can't possibly know that unless you know them. They're very well behaved for someone with a stolen vehicle, and before you say it's so they don't attract police attention, the lack of a helmet will attract more attention than anything. 5) This is not Asia. Scooters are nowhere near as popular, or expensive as motorbikes, so why would you risk a stealing a motor vehicle or vessel charge on one? I know thieves aren't particularly smart, they are thieves after all, but I'm pretty sure they know what's worth money, and what's not.

Not all angle parking is nose in, requirement for many is to reverse in. "Angle parking rear to kerb" ring a bell.

If you are looking down, and the movement is subtle, you won't notice it. How do I know? Because I did very similar 20 years ago sitting stationary in heavy Parramatta Rd Haberfield traffic, I turned around to get something out of my bag sitting on the back seat, and didn't realise my foot pressure slightly released on the brake pedal while I was twisted around. I didn't feel any movement until the bump.. (my car was manual, foot on clutch and brake, on uphill slope, so rolled backwards 2 metres into a van behind lucky with bullbar so no damage caused to them). I had assumed he drove into me until he told me what happened...
