It’s crazy to me how many people either tip NOTHING or almost nothing. We order with DoorDash here in Connecticut. I give a $10 tip on the order and then another $10 or more when they get here. Not rich by any means. I just really appreciate the job you do.❤

I think it's ridiculous of doordash to expect their drivers to work for 13.00 an hour. McDonalds pays high-school kids more than that and they aren't furnishing vehicles, plus insurance, gas, wear and tear on the vehicles. It's a damn shame.

It's also a damn shame that my social security isn't going up enough to allow me to even pay for Door Dash, which I would love to do. I agree you should get more but damn it so should everybody else, yeah? Can't wait to move into my cardboard box when I'm 80. They can just come scrape me up with the bulldozer when I'm dead. Always did love efficiency.

Doordash pays a dollar over minimum wage. Minimum wage in Florida is $12. minimum wage. in my area is $14 an hour doordash Pays $15 per active hour.

Omg you had me clapping. That order you were picking at Winn Dixie and you walked back with the 24 count of DR. Pepper. Had me rolling. But when you got to the drop off. It just broke my heart to see what the weather conditions were while dropping off this order. Than I remember you said you have to make $85 a day inorder to make the pmt on your sons medical appointment. Your a awesome Mom. One of the best human beings I have seen here on KZfaq. I agree, door dash definitely started the earn by time to get people to take the no tip orders. Restaurants were probably complaining that they've had to throw out so many orders that sat for hours without being picked up.

My heart goes out to you with all those no-tip orders! Geez! I feel like the "earn by time" model just encourages people to think they don't have to tip on DoorDash, because someone will still deliver their food regardless. These non-tip orders often come from customers who are quick to give bad reviews and might even lie about not receiving their food. I've said it before, but you're hilarious! I always did DoorDash as a side gig, but I got laid off and now I'm in between W-2 jobs. So, I'm doing this full time. Your videos put a smile on my face, and I thank you for that!

Forget the fact that earn by time is encouraging no tip customers. When you deal with people who aren't considerate enough to pay us fairly, you risk your account. What if there is a delay at the merchant? What if there are missing items? God forbid you pass their house. It's extremely likely these customers will find any reason to rate poorly. And these customers are most often "extra" and expect us to follow crazy instructions and bring additional items. I refuse to serve inconsiderate negative people.

I still think customers think drivers get the delivery fee. Even so not tipping shows their character. They tip folks who walk ten feet to a table take an order and bring the food and fill their coffee or water and tip 20 or more percent… inconsiderate clowns.

You should get a windbreaker for the days it is raining 🌧️, although it may be too hot where you are-It is easier when you have a pocket, but Florida would be too hot 🥵 for that, but maybe a windbreaker on cooler, rainy days?🤔. The music 🎶 was very peaceful ☺️ on the rain segment-I could listen to it all day.

I always tip! If someone is driving thru crazy traffic and I get to sit home I am so thankful. Not rich either just know how hard it you all work.

Please do not do earn by time people it's basically saying your an hourly driver and not an independent driver. Do not do it, it is illegal what they are doing because by law if your doing any hourly pay job your considered a employee and if your being paid by the hour the employer is obligated as a company to provide you all the perks that comes with it as an hourly paid employee. There is a lawsuit in process about this it won't be long till they stop doing it when the lawsuit piles up.

And in fact it's even worse than it sounds. It's not $13/hr consistent. It's $13/hr ACTIVE time. So every single SECOND that you're not actually doing work for Doordash, you're not getting paid. So it could take 2 hours to make $13 with Doordash if you're sitting around for 1 minute for every 1 minute that you're working. It's such a disgrace what these gig apps are doing to its drivers.

My city doesn't even have earn by time and I get the ability to drop orders if you are waiting too long on stacks. It also is available in the help after 10 minutes on single orders. You pick "I have an issue", then "order has long wait time", then you can pick to unassign and if it has been long enough it will say that it will not affect your completion rate under it.

I only do Doordash. Once I lowered my offer standards a bit and took more orders I started making more $. I realized that if the wheels aren't going the cash ain't flowing.

EBT you can only decline 1 in an hour time. After the hour you can decline again. So when you decline look at the time.

EBT only makes sense when it's more than $17 an hour and you want to chill and deliver like 2 deliveries per hour. 😂 they typically shuffle the bullshit mileage orders on EBT.

Also...I don't have earn by time anymore here in Canada. They usually ask if I want to unassign after waiting for a stack order. On single orders after 10 min of waiting I can go into where you anassign and you can do it penalty free.

I just did earn by time today & it was actually ok. I have been going back and forth with support about my acceptance rate. I dashed 6hrs yesterday and accepted EVERY order & my AR didn’t go up at all. Today I did earn by time & it goes up immediately after my first order 😒😒 I’m back up to 70% but I’m honestly so over DD. Even at with platinum tier the orders I get are TERRIBLE! It’s almost impossible to keep your AR above 70%. I wish spark would open up the waitlist in my area.

It's so disappointing that DD is only willing to pay $13/hr active time, especially when you consider we also have to pay for our own fuel. These gig apps are all pretending as if we all own Teslas or some sh*t, and honestly, it's incredibly annoying. Gas isn't free. Why do these gig apps pretend that gas is free? Even electricity for EVs isn't free; although it is 10x cheaper than gas, but still! It shouldn't be any less than $20/hr. Unreal.

What gets me is that doordash says they don't have controll over the orders that you receive. They say it is all done with computer. Well, they must have their computers programmed to be crooked just like they are. I'm just saying 😮

EBT is definitely not worth it. Keep striving for Platinum. They still send a few crap offers, but a majority of them are better and occasionally freaking amazing. In the 70's I average about $17-18/hr, In the 80's $19-$21/hr. But, of course, thats in my market. Lol.

In my area, earn by time may SAY $16 for that order but it'll be some bullsh-t like having you drive 20 miles for drop off. Nevermind the fact you have to comeback to your original area to get dashes again, so you know how that goes. I clicked to that tab *once* just to see what it was about but never took the orders cause the 2 that popped up were crap. One was like $17 but drop off were suburbs on the FAR side of town so we're talking a 25 min trip JUST to get there, not counting coming back. Never clicked on the earn by time again after I saw what it was all about.

I am SO jealous of your rain 😩It's 100F in Edmonton, Canada today (and yesterday, and tomorrow!!!) and I want to dieeeeee because my van feels like a sauna with no ac. Hmmm, curious if getting yourself a collapsible wagon of sorts would be good for shop and pay orders? I say this, and I do shop and pay orders and don't have one, but whatever, lol.
