[Source : magazine PMC vol.27 page 39] So the difference between almost natural voice and effected voice may be intended to emphasize the dichotomy. And the passage too fast to grasp "Double, double, toil and trouble" and "Fire burn and cauldron bubble" is by Moa. Su said in the article she loves the part by Moa in the 2nd verse. [the same source] Where are the guys who said new BABYMETAL was inclining to J-pop side and not heavy enough? They are now understanding that "Difference and Diversity" is another name of BABYMETAL. You should not hasten to be judgmental about them. 😄

This is BM scratching their prog metal itch again. Other examples are "Rondo of Nightmare", "The One" and their best song "Tales of the Destinies". I also like the themes of duality, good and bad and the existential questions. BM are quoting from Brothers Grimm "Snow White and "Macbeth" Act 4 Scene1 where the "Double, Double etc" is chanted by the 3 witches...which might be an allusion to the past and maybe future make up of BM. Interestingly The Guardian newspaper was pretty clever in their review of "The Other One" (TOO) album and described it as "Over The Top" (OTT) which is a nice nod to the album's concept of a parallels and reflections of reality

Received the other one on the weekend, stuck my headphones on and fell asleep must have been on loop over 10 times, perfect way for an album to subliminally seep into your mind, i recommend this form of listening, if only i knew this when i never revised for my exams 🤘🤘.

They've done a few all English songs before and most of their songs include some English. Songs all or almost all in English - From Dusk til Dawn, Elevator Girl, The One.

Fun fact. Many Japanese can understand English. Speaking English in public and/or to a native English-speaker is different. English is taught in elementary level schools. More advance English, Japanese must take further classes in university and/or study on their own.

Good reaction. The band's concert in Makuhari this year showed how excellent the new songs from THE OTHER ONE album sound, I think most agree that BABYMETAL purposefully mixes records so they don't sound as spectacular until the songs are played live, there is a big difference because they sound better and heavier live.

I think they picked up a lot with their collab with the Polyphia guitars on Brand New Day. And their Engliah might just be to expand their market. Shakespeare Macbeth. The three witches.

A proper lesson in English literature is in order. You'd be well served to watch Prof. Andrew Hartley's analysis of this banger. Mirror Mirror is exceptionally well written. True to form, this song is a lot deeper and more complex than we can imagine... especially for a band that many early haters thought of as nothing more than a gimmick.
