Squirrel, the reason why the tunnel goes below the sea level is not some mistake by the ProModders. The reason behind it according to the Wikipedia article I just read about North Cape goes like this. The tunnel, otherwise known as the North Cape Tunnel on the E69 goes under the sea connecting to the island Magerøya from the mainland. Also, the neighboring point you were talking about, Knivskjellodden Point is actually 1457 m (4780 ft) more north than the North Cape. Hoped you learned a thing or two from that.

Squirrel, I drove from Helsinki to Nordkapp last February. Absolutely the greatest trip of my life and one you most definitely should make! Finland was a little lifeless, great roads though. Norway was absolutely breathtaking but the roads were far worse than those of Finland. The weather and its ability to change in the blink of an eye was incredible and the aurora was majestic as can be.

It's really cool to see all these places and recognize them from real life. The places are pretty accurate. 38:19 the reason the tunnel is descending is because it's an underwater tunnel, Norways longest when it opened I believe. And the "checkpoint" you met at the end of the tunnel is where you had pay a fee, like a downpayment for the tunnel. Around 46:13 is Honningsvåg airport, if im not mistaking. It is a very scary airport for inexperienced pilots - it is short, and because of the hills the downwind can be fatal. Love your videos!

I only do external jobs now, Squirrel. You don't get a target time there. I mean you get hours, measured in real time, you have to complete your delivery. So you basically never end up late. Plus you can get some cool accolades for various achievements on the World of Trucks site. And you can pretty much decide how you deliver a long haul. For example only drive at day time. It is as flexible, as it can be.

The North Cape is actually the northernmost place in the world that you can drive to - there are settlements further north than the North Cape, but these are only accessible by air. The E69 is also the world's northernmost major highway (the roads around the settlements further north do not take you out of town).

You can actually "fix" the Brake Pedal on the G29/G920 by removing a rubber thingy underneath the Spring. It's also reverseable if you ever need to sent it in for Warranty. There are loads of videos showing how to do it on KZfaq.

Hi Squirral, I am one of those people who commentate on iRacing broadcasts. I mainly work for Racespot TV and am now starting to stream races for them as well. I also race in a league called the British Sim Racers Touring Car Championship and i can honestly say that i have had some of the most amazing racing in that league. There is no better feeling than winning a race as you have done it against other people. I would say if you can get yourself a set of loadcell pedals then you will see a vast improvement in your braking consistancy.

Hi-ho, all! Paul, your 'real' flying is really a PLUS thing for us to enjoy, right? SO I feel it should absolutely be with the PLUS channel. I received my pilot's certificate back in the '70s in my twenties. About seven months later I got my 'IFR' and never looked back. And unless you plan on going PRO and making money, not much more needs to be done. Just keep on top of the rules & regs. I bet you'll end-up having a blast up there with the birdies. I use to LOVE joining the geese while flying my micro two-seater, and I think they enjoyed seeing me with them, off to their right a few yards or so. I got a HUGE kick when a few would come on over to get a close look at the strange bird making all the noise... LOL!

I would like to see your Flights uploaded on this channel. This is your channel and you can upload whatever you please on here. As you probably can see my channel hasn't taken off the way I hoped. I've been subbed to your channel for a few years now dating back from the beginning of your ETS videos. You have given me hope to hopefully continue my KZfaq channel and buy gaming rig which I have been telling myself since 2012, lol. I plan to upload more tutorials and short simulator videos (non-commentary). Thanks for keeping us fans involved and in the loop. Your streams/videos are entertaining and funny. You keep it real and stay true to your fans and I wish you the best of luck on obtaining your PPL. I began college back in 2011 to be a Commercial Airline Pilot but, flying became too expensive so I went to trucking school and got my CDL which was a childhood dream. I will use the money for flight lessons and probably will just fly as a hobby as I love my trucking job and don't really have the time to fully dedicate to flight school as I work full-time. Thanks for the motivation and honesty. You do what you think is best for you and your Twitch/KZfaq channels. Cheers, Paul! :) Whoever else is reading this comment always remember that anything is possible. If things are tough and you feel like giving up just get back up and keep pushing through the storm because things will get better with time. Don't listen to anyone who tells you that you can't do anything or that it will be impossible. Prove them wrong because they only want to bring you down with them, Good luck! :)

About the brake pedal on the G920.. It has a large rubber stopper in the piston stopping it from full engagement (unless you stamp on it) I opened mine and took it out which took about 5 minutes with a video guide and now have no problems with it and still have good return on the pedal.

The northernmost part of Norway is NOT located just to the east of the North Cape. It is actually located just west of the North Cape and can be seen from the North Cape - and is called Knivskjellodden. It is not only the northernmost part of Norway but the northenmost part of all of mainland Europe. I was at both the North Cape and Knivskjellodden back in 2015. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knivskjellodden

I'd love to see your real life flying lessons etc on the main channel, mainly to see how this compares with the simulation. Sims are always striving to be real with ATC, navigation and different weather conditions all of which can be controlled or even ignored by the user. In real life it comes at you no matter what. Of course I'd like to see how you compare 'flying' in your converted garage to actually having thousands feet of air beneath your feet.
@hat4rack

Those who watch the flight sim videos are no doubt 'interested' in flying - in which case you could likely place the videos on either channel and it would be well received. If the videos are an hour long though... it might fit better on the Plus channel that has, typically, much longer videos. And since it's not a gaming video - maybe even all the more reason to place it on Plus. Lastly - if you'll be creating enough flying videos to support a whole new channel, The Flying Squirrel is a great idea!! Thanks for the work...
@dal3767

I say put you flight training videos on this channel. This channel is mainly about simulated events (whether that be flying or driving) of what could be real time events. Your flight training is a real time event of what could be a simulated event. So it makes sense to upload the real time events to this channel as they go hand in hand with simulated events. Hope that makes sense :/

In regards to where to put the videos, no harm in using the second channel. You will always have your core fans and you can vary the content between the two channels. And the odd real life videos related to the games can go on either channel. Variety is good. Also, regarding your set up, have a look at Taylor Rays channel and the set up he got for racing simulator games, I think the pedal set he picked up recently would be ideal for you possibly! Keep up the good work sir!!

Hey Squirrel, glad to hear you're on iRacing! You should see some of the pedal setups the hardcore guys run. Some have brake pedal forces up to 300 lbs. I use a set of HPP Simulation pedals (hydraulic, not load cell but the same concept). If you want something a little higher end than Logitech but without breaking the bank on direct drive wheels and hydraulic pedals, check out Fanatec. They make some nice wheels and pedals that are priced decently. BTW, don't lose hope. The quality of racing gets better as you get higher up in the ranks. (sometimes lol)

The northern point in Norway is called Knivskjelodden, Nordkapp. Would love to hear you try to say that :p I can't wait until this is released to the public btw. I havn't played ETS2 for a while, because the European roads are so boring, straight lined highways everywhere.

Awesome. Can't wait to try the new version! I've just started getting back into ets2, this couldn't be better timed.

I think people felt if they didn't want to use twitch they were missing out, and squirrel plus certainly has helped there. The easy answer would be to have a Squirrel flys channel, but gaining momentum and managing 3 channels seem a lot. IMHO I think have them on your main channel, for now, maybe re-release them on a 3rd channel later on if the popularity grows / you make lots,

Like the idea of you running the videos of your real life stuff, especially the RL flying. I know you do a lot of stuff already, 2 channels, website and all your merchandising but I think a new channel for your RL stuff would be appreciated by your followers and as for a name for it you could call it SQUIRREAL TV. Just an idea.

I feel like the flying videos belong more on Squirrel Plus than the main channel. I've always viewed the main channel as purely a sim/game channel.

I'd love seeing some flight stuff on the channel... And as for the video, a MADster MAN? Some of my absolute favorite trucks to run in ETS2! Most of my truck fleet are MADster MANs and Scanias (mostly RJLs with some stock trucks)...and my personal trucks are the MADster TGX and the RJL Scania T.... And I really wish that the "late" stuff would take into account where you are...if you're in the yard trying to park, you shouldn't be considered late...because you're there. Yeah, maybe not parked, but there. Every time I get the "the customer expects delivery soon" when I'm backing, I wish I could just tell the dispatcher "yeah, tell em to look out their bloody window!"

I vote for flying videos on this channel. I would expect that people interested in flying sims are also interested in real flying (otherwise it would be very strange).

Yes there is a g920 but there is also a g29. The good thing is the skifter for the g27 is compatible with the g29 and the g920. I have the g29 and Im already used to the brake pedal. You get used to it very fast. The g27 pedal is also compatible with the g29 and g920. So it doesnt really matter if just the weel breaks down.

I probably would have missed the Virtual Fly videos if they weren't posted here, so I'm in favor of videos like that on the main channel. I think the real-life flights belong here too, just make a new playlist. It's pretty neat to see your transition from sim to real life and it can stand right next to your simulation body of work. Good luck!

Hey Paul, lovely video as always. Personally I think you could put the upcoming plane videos on this channel, in a separate playlist. Good luck with the training!

Put them on this channel. It would be fun to watch. As long as the gaming vids won't be replaced by them.

Personally, you should put those videos on the main channel. As you say, we're not talking about crazily regular videos, but ones that come occasionally. Watching someone fly an actual airplane is a good complimentary to the simulation version and gameplay of it, so it still might be interesting to anyone watching your flying videos on the channel anyway, which is a lot of people. Again, that's my view of it; feel free to do otherwise ;)

You should get the Fanatec Clubsport V3 pedals, they are not the cheapest by any means but they work like a charm

No problems living in cold and snowy conditions, we are vikings 🤣😂 and we are used to handling that amount of snow and cold, but I guess the most of us still prefer the few months of summer we have
