On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

oh and also, one of the reasons my Matra530s missed is due to me forgetting to wait for a green circle to appear on the HUD indicating I was within range. So I actually accidently fired those missiles outside of range.

Just for information: this Mirage F-1 module uses the ACTUAL SIMULATOR parameters and the actual performances of the real one. One of the developers is a son of a Mirage F-1 pilot. They had permission from Dassault and from our Defense Minister to use the real parameters of the real simulator and the real flight manuals in order to create an almost perfect-matching envelope and performance module. For now, let's wait for the F-1M (the Spanish Modernized model, in fact, the most advanced F-1 that ever existed) and now are serving in Draken as reds.

This is a great addition. It's a classic fighter and literally everyone who couldn't afford or wasn't politically acceptable to get the early F15 and F16 flew these things. Very versatile choice for DCS.

Also lots of different versions with different capabilities over a long service history. There is lots of room to develop this jet down the line.

@@sasquatchycowboy5585 Form launch day most versions will be available, including double seaters, country-specific versions, and some rare versions of which only a couple of planes were made, it is crazy. Even the glass cockpit F1M version will be available in future upgrades. Only thing lacking is more modern weapons, but that will come with time.

So, I really look forward to your videos. I am just absolutely impressed with the information and instruction that you present while you’re making these videos. Seriously, as a previous Army and now AF flight instructor it can become super difficult to analyze, process and articulate information to an audience. Also, do you conduct your own research on the various systems and their capabilities? If so, we’ll done…we’ll done. Very impressive.

The Mirage F1.....!! This was the first fighter aircraft that I saw in a poster back in the early '80s and made me fall in love with all the aircrafts and aviation.....😃

It was pretty good as a fighter. Manhandled Russian aircraft and scored a lot of F-4 Phantom kills in Iraqi hands. I believe it took down 10-15 F-14 Tomcats as well.

@@VisibilityFoggy Iran only has up to 16 confirmed losses of F-14s and we have data for what downed the majority of those. The F1 did not by any stretch of the imagination shoot down 10 to 15 F-14s. Iran's own SAMs downed more F-14s than Iraqi pilots did and the F1 is only credited with 3 kills on F-14s, the vast majority of losses were due to technical fault/pilot error and the subsequent crashes.

Better to stay below the target not to brake the lock when using pulse radar without Doppler filter. Great video!

Shouldn't matter too much if you have a lock because the range gate will filter out most of the ground provided the target isnt right on the deck. Also this is an MTI which does have some filtering.

Had a chance to sit in a cockpit of Mirage III - if I recall it right. I do not know if and how much is seat adjustable for height but I was unable to get my eyes behind sights. I think only Starfighter came close Well I'd be too tall to even have a chance to think about being fighter pilot, anyway ...

The Mirage F-1M version is expected to use the Super Matra 530D at that ( the same as the Mirage-2000C ), but one should be patient until then.

Love the Cold War and ww2 planes . The only modern one I like is the harrier . Find the hornet and f15 dull in comparison. Not flown this one yet but it seems like a slightly more sophisticated version of the f5.
