A data leak in the UAE has revealed details of foreign property owners in the Emirate of Dubai. Indians emerged on top of the list with over 29,000 owners and 35,000 properties worth a cumulative $17 billion. Pakistan slotted in behind India, with politicians like Bilawal Bhutto Zardari featuring on the foreign owners' list. More worryingly, the list also includes drug lords, sanctioned businessmen, money launderers and terror financiers. The embarrassing leak comes months after the UAE was removed from the terror finance watchdog FATF's grey list. UAE officials have rejected the report, saying it takes the integrity of the global economy "very seriously". Palki Sharma tells you more.

Not really. All the recent leaks (Panama, Dubai) are because mostly Russian money went there and probably there is some govt agnecy behind these leaks. It is wrong but the major money is laundered in Dalaware, USA. There is a movie on Netflix that is basically a documentary in the form of move. It is called Laundromat (2019).
