You can definitely. But it will take time. Like around 1-2 years MINIMUM and that too if you stay committed and study full day. But the reward is great. It is not as immediate, but eventually you will grow salary very fast. My cousin is a mechanical engineer who went from 8Lpa to 50Lpa in 3 years.

@@Dip98 he's SDE2. Has mern stack but not using all at present. Different companies and roles have different requirements through multiple phases of various projects. It is all about what you get hired for and when. He's using react native currently.

Hi, my husband is also machanical engineer graduate but he is doing job in IT. He learnt it online and got some certification. He has a great job and we are living in Germany right now as Germany has a great demands of IT people. In starting he did internships wherein he did not get enough money. If you have interest you can learn in 6 months and start job and along with keep on learning.
