Excel has a lot of sorting options such as sorting from left to right, sorting based on color and icon and doing multi-level sorting. All these sorting options can be accessed from the single sorting dialog box.
Similarly, you have a lot of filtering options - such as filter based on numbers, text, dates and even colors.
Excel has many data analysis functionalities and a good knowledge of filtering and sorting data in Excel will help you analyze a huge amount of data easily.

Hi Sumit, I have a large table setup with lots of blank cells in other columns. Somehow, once I applied Advanced filter, the blank cells will have value paste in by Excel, do you know how can I avoid that?

The trick is: apply a filter to the range you want to sum; while the range is filtered, use ALT+= to autosum the column at the last cell in the range; since you have a filtered range, autosum will enter the SUBTOTAL() function instead of the SUM() function. You can then unfilter your range and the SUBTOTAL function remains. For Filter/Unfilter, have the active cell within your range of data and press CTRL+SHIFT+L.
