Hi Ambarish, Thanks for the detailed video. I cleared the lakehouse fundamentals exam a month ago and now I attended the live webinar. Post webinar I completed the survey as well. How much is the timeline to get the voucher from Databricks for the Data Engineer Associate certification? OR is there something more I need to do to be eligible for the voucher. Thanks

Do the code questions include SQL and Python, or can the test taker request for SQL only? If both languages are in the exam, I will make sure to cover Python much more in-depth while preparing.

The preparation course(Data Engineering with Databricks) for Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate at Databricks Academy is not free and cost $150. Any free prepatory resource for Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate

Yes it was free before. As it grew popular, they started charging for it. I did it for free. I dont recommend spending $150 on that course. Instead do the course on udemy from Derar Alhussein. He is really good.

Databricks! Hi Ambarish, I am trying to understand how good is Databricks certification as in is it recognized in the industry because it seems to be platform specific. Is there any video where you have talked about that? Thanks for creating all the content, they are helpful.

Very good question and there is no right answer. Certifications hold value for entry level jobs where you don’t have any experience but want to differentiate yourself from other similar candidates. If you have a solid experience in data engineering or python/spark/scala then platform specific certifications don’t hold much value. It is just an indicator that you are familiar with the platform. However, if the job requirement is specific to databricks (which i doubt ever happens) then certification will def help you land an interview.

The certification, although it says Databricks, it is also a data engineering certification. So it can prove at least familiarity with big data concepts, which is always good. It is better to have than dont.

Nope. This is platform specific. Prepare urself and try out the practice exam first to gauge yourself. If you cant pass that, study details and reappear.

Academy used to be free before but now they have become greedy and charging money. Udemy course is awesome and I used it for my preparation.

I completed Lakehouse Fundamentals free training and tried to attempt the Lakehouse Fundamentals quiz. but while I logged in it is saying forbidden access. I thought the quiz is free but getting forbidden access. how can I do that

they dont give it free. you need to bear 25% of the certification cost after all the steps.

Check if online transactions are ON. I had the same issue but got it fixed as soon as i turned on Online.
