Dateline Crime Capsule: The Colonial Parkway Murders

Between 1986 and 1989, at least eight people were murdered near or along Virginia’s Colonial Parkway by an apparent serial killer. In 2024, a suspect was identified in the murders of two of those victims, David Knobling and Robin Edwards. At this time, authorities have found no evidence linking the man to the other Colonial Parkway Murders but they are continuing to investigate.

A spokesperson stated that this gives the victim's families closure and justice. Justice? The guy remained free until his own demise. I find it hard to believe he just stopped on his own accord and there are probably more victims

The killer is Henrico county police officer Lewis Marion and he killed Mike Margaret and Donna Hall the two in Shenandoah national Park in 1996

I hope they can connect him to the other murders but I'm not convinced all the cases are linked.

They could all be linked...given his stomping ground, M.O., dedication to hunting and how he lived/traveled on his boat. He was often on the York River and is now connected to a crime on the other side of the peninsula.

The Colonial Parkway connects Jamestown, Yorktown and Williamsburg in Virginia.

Wait, Robin was 14 and David was 20, and they drove 20 miles to go make out somewhere? Hmmm, poor little girl. If she hadn’t made that decision to fool around with an adult man she’d still be here today💔

@@stockwellsantley6606well, I was a 14 year old girl once. We weren’t idiots. She wasn’t forced. I know that’s not the point of this video, I’m just surprised her being such a young minor hasn’t been brought up. She may have lied to him about her age. He may not have known.

So was I a 14 year old girl. I think it's heinous to blame a kid for her wrong decisions (there's a reason you're not allowed to get married, join the army, drink, drive, decide who you want to live with until you reach a certain age.) The law acknowledges that kids make stupid decisions. There's no proof here that he knew she was so young, but that's no reason to cast her as the inciting character for this murder.@@Christophertracy09

The reason her age vs his isn't being brought up, here at least, is because they were both murdered; there's a greater concern here.@@Christophertracy09
