This was such a treat to listen to💕 and meeting someone abroad is truly a different vibe - but Misako had a great point of see your surroundings first before bringing in another person to share it with. I had a similar situation where I immediately met a guy in Finland and I basically saw the country through him. It was fun, you live and you learn.

I always say I am terrible at beginnings of relationships, great at the middles, and damn good at the ends (I don't burn houses down and murder people). My therapist says that there is no reason to worry about going right into intimate conversation, because that is who I am, and if someone does not want to meet me at that level, they are not the right partner for me. Probably not the deepest, darkest right off the bat but...

I feel so seen!!! First off, the nicknames for guys, lolzzz my friends and i have a whole list of them. Second, societal pressure is real, I felt them but needed to learn that i need to put my needs and wants before all of that. Finally, WE ARE the prize and we shouldn't go into a date with super high expectations especially when we don't even know if WE will like them. LOVED THIS SO MUCH!!

I first went to cdmx in 1999 in my 20s. I had several boyfriends. We would go to taxco and Acapulco on the weekends. My real love affair was with the city but they enhanced the experience. I got married in my 30s, had the big wedding and was ready to build a life that would never happen. When that began to fall apart I found solace in traveling to Mexico. At 43, I was well established in my career, making very good money and dating was not my thing. I too am the kind of woman who likes to be all in. Either consume me or go away. Don't waste my time with half time bullshit. I knew exactly what I wanted so I wasn't interested in just enjoying someone for the moment. We're doing this or what? Lololol. And I find at my age, men responded very differently. They were a lot more honest because they knew I was a seasoned woman who wasn't with the shits. The trip was beyond enjoyable. And I ended it with 6 days on the beach in tulum after having a good time in cdmx. There I attended a new moon ceremony and told the universe I was open and ready. That trip I met a lovely young man who wanted nothing more than to have me naked in the bed and cook for me. And that was the remedy I needed. So after I left, I bought another ticket back the next month and then the next and then the next. I knew what I wanted and I didn't need to date around to look for what he was giving me. I was very straight up with him and told him if I overwhelmed him then he needed to move on becauseI refused to compromise my desires and how I needed to be loved. But he didn't move on. I'm 46 now. We eloped in Tepoztlán last year in the old government building in the town square. He's from Mexico City. He's in culinary school. And hopefully he'll come to the US eventually. He is my love. As is cdmx. It's a beautiful city to fall in love with and to fall in love in. Ladies, enjoy every minute of it. Fuck the rest.
