Caroline: Please consider a segment on the video creation process. Certainly you do not want to give away trade secrets, but a high level overview explaining how you collect pictures, videos, and put them into your video editing software to create the final product with music would be quite interesting for those of us who would like to try it at a novice level. It would be nice to understand the types of equipment that are essential to the task, i.e., drones, iPhone, , GoPro, tripods, still cameras, etc. Your skills have definitely matured over the years and you are now taking it to another level. Well done!

Thank you all for answering the questions. So many of us admire you not only as an incredible family but also as a highly efficient team. The qualities you all possess certainly shows in your videos. I am a van lifer now at 75 but in my younger days I enjoyed four wheeling in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa while serving for Uncle Sam. My vehicles were usually Nissan 4X4 without all of the U.S. specifications and rarely broke down. In Saudi Arabia my Nissan Patrol had just under 500k on the odometer. I would love to give the Jeep with the 392 engine a try. Your cabin home on the island is a paradise and would be a dream come true for me. This was a wonderful informative video and a learning tool for me; especially the information provided by Caroline. I want invest in another camera as I am presently using a Samsung S21 to take photos for my Facebook page. However, camera prices have skyrocketed and I cannot afford 7 grand for the one I wish to buy.

I haven't seen one of your videos since you arrived at the island cabin. Things have slowed down a bit here so it's time to catch up. I really enjoy your Q&A videos, they answer so many questions that are on all of our minds. Your kids are truly blessed to be living the lives that you have provided and you are blessed to have those wonderful children. I look forward to following you through the winter as you adapt to cabin living off the grid. That has always been a dream of ours, but age and the big C with the wife will not allow it. However we have been blessed with living on Kodiak Island, Alaska for three years and being stationed in many different areas of the US and driving across several times as we moved. Really appreciate your discussion on T1 diabetes. Your story was an inspiration to me during the tough days that followed the same diagnosis in one of my own children about 18 months ago. You are uniquely placed to offset those feelings of being penned in by T1 and thank you for doing so. Epic family road trip left me better off than T1 had found me in those early days.

You will love your trip to Tuktoyaktuk. My wife and I just came back yesterday from an epic road trip from Kapuskasing to Tuk. It has been a dream of mine to do this trip and it did not disappoint. The gravel road is a bit rough at time so you might want to air down when you enter the Dempster. Safe travels.

I was always wondering how the teenagers are coping without having the "fun" that young people of their age do at this age. This video gave me the answer. Guys, follow the advise of your parents. My father always told us during our younger years. Finish school and after, do whatever you want. We heeded the advise, and everything in our life went well. Re diabetes: I was also diagnosed to be diabetic (My mother has it.) when I was hospitalized for a serious case of covid and even advised to take insulin after I was released from the hospital; but I refused. Instead, I studied a lot about this malfunction in our body and learned so much about it. What I did: first, I stopped taking food and drinks with sugar; limit the amount of my intake of food - especially those with high content of carbs. Instead I ate plenty of veggies especially the green ones. I learned the values of cinnamon, chia seeds and turmeric powder in slowing down the sugar absorption in our body. So every morning, I prepare my coffee with cinnamon and chia seeds - not so much; maybe 1/4 of a teaspoon only. Then, in the evening I take milk with turmeric powder. Exercise and intermittent fasting also helped. Once in a while, I splurge on some food, but after 2 hours I would measure my blood. If it is high, on the next meal I would lessen the amount of food I take. I also drink regularly a glass of water with apple cider - usually, after having a splurge on food with high carb such as pasta or rice. Now, my blood fasting sugar is 4.8, after almost a year, and I eat ice cream and black chocos, once in a while. I am not recommending that you do the same, but I am sharing my experience. Diabetes can be overcome. By the way, I also drink lemon grass tea daily. Happy days Fam! 🙏🙏

Peter, enjoyed the video. Would you consider doing an off frame complete remanufacture of "Vandi" New engine, transmission. transfer case. Rebuild and re ratio the front and rear diffs and axles. Anything that moves, turns, hoses, components, etc. Replace it with new. Just a thought given all the kit you have into it. Cheers, Mate.

Great Q&A just throwing it out there water in the winter time perhaps you might want to pick up a huge water tank and build an actual small shed for it insulate it and keep it warm then just pump out of the lake to fill it up melt snow that should keep it filled in the winter time ok 👌🏼🔥🤠🔥Camping Russ out

We've been going too northern Ontario for about 50yrs to an Island in the middle of a lake. The owners bought an Air boat( or fan boat) to go back and forth during the ice over or thaw. This may be an option for you during the winter months

If you are driving from Ontario to Tuc I have a suggestion. Instead of passing over Saskatchewn I suggest you look at Highway 13 from Moose Mountain to Cyprus Hills and includes Canada's newest national park - Grasslands National Park.

You talked about staying all winter at the cabin but we're concerned about crossing the lake when it's partially frozen. Have you considered those everglades flat bottom boats propelled by the huge fan blades? Would it cross the ice?

hi Carol! Im 55. Love watching you with your family ♥ Just wanted you to know that I'd be interested in a cook book or any cooking videos that you make. I'm more interested in your techniques than I am your actual recipes, or amounts. I'm not sure if that helps at all but I was hearing you say you didn't measure so aren't sure about a cook book. I agree I don't measure either but I'd love to know the secrets to cooking on different types of stoves or fire. Do you have any tips for cooking in the rain or cold weather? That would be a very valuable tool for any camper or overlander. Not necessarily the recipes but the techniques you use.

I know nothing about , taking video , ( or making video ) but I always loved the slow motion stuff ,( like the commercial for kingsford charcoal ) slow down and grill , I always wish , you guys would do a little more of that , it just seems a little more nostalgic , I love everything your channel does , as a family , ( and I'm quite , envious of the whole family ) but I think this is one thing you should look into , even if you consider it copying , because I know you guys have a lot of nostalgic , moments . It would just make the experience , that much more memorable . I always thought it was your younger brother , that had diabetes , I don't know why , but that's a tuff one , being a boy scout ,( always prepared ) is a good idea , but seems very difficult in the scenario you preseneted ( tshtf ) God Bless you , and may he watch over all of you .

offroading in UK is almost non existent, off roading Euro havens are; Greece, Romania and other Balkan nations, of course the Alpes Maritimes of eastern France and the eastern Maginot line at about 3,000+meters is awesome to offroad as well

Talking about recipe , I watch the video about blueberries muffin, I did tried to fallow your recipe , but it did not came out as it shows in your video. You have 1/3 cup of baking powder is that the right amount. Or is any other ingredients missing. I jut love how they came out in your video, it looks easy 🙂Is any advise? Thank you for all your videos I really enjoy them all.

Sorry about that, we made a few typo errors on that video. Here is the correct Recipe.... Wild Blueberry Muffin Recipe 2 Cups All Purpose Flour ¾ Cup Granulated Sugar 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder ¼ Teaspoon Salt 1 Cup Milk 2 Large Eggs ½ Cup Butter, Melted and cooled slightly 2 Cups Wild Blueberries

Would absolutely love to see a Branded EFRT Gear name. I know that if it was approved by you all, it’s worth the cost and I would purchase it without any worry. I’m sure millions of others would too! So much Junk flooding the market that it’s hard to keep up and it’s a struggle to make a good purchase.
