I am having a very strong bond to this song because it guided me threw two of my most emotional moments so far. My first boyfriend had an undefined kind of autism so he couldnt express his feelings right sometimes. This song was in the background as he cried for the first time in front of me. The sentence that made him cry was me saying "I love you". We were nearly breaking up the night before. He cried constantly for 15 minutes. He says that to someone else now but I'll keep this memory for me. The second time this song helped me was when my stepmother and mother of my sweet little sister died of alcohol abuse. The Last thing she promised to my dad, shortly before she fell asleep forever, was that she will go to rehab. She didnt do that for years. Before alcohol she has been such a cool, loving and beautiful person. She has raised me too. Please guys, remember that there is a point where it will be too late to say some things. Just say what you want to say. It won't last in the world if it's just in your head.

Hadn’t heard this song in a while but I just listened to it again today and I couldn’t keep myself from crying. I don’t normally cry from anything these days but I feel like I want to so often. We take for granted, the feeling of relief and humility that comes from allowing ourselves to cry every once in a while. Things may not even be that bad for some of us in retrospect, but this world is a very harsh and lonely place at times. At the end of the day we’re left with our thoughts and feelings that no one else can truly understand. If I have to name one example of something that brings us all together and allows our feelings and emotions to be interconnected, it’s music. This song does that for many of us and because it’s one that we’ve all so desperately wanted to be on Spotify for years, I think it’s all the more special. Peace and love everyone!!✌️🤍 don’t give up on yourselves. You can be whoever and do whatever you want right now. It’s never too late!!

My interpretation of this song is that "Medicine" is the thoughts in life that make you forget the painful memories in your life. But those painful memories are actually what shape you into the person you are. So if you keep "taking" the medicine, you will lose sight of whats really important to you in life. The song is pretty much telling you that you must learn to deal with these painful feelings without the medicine if you want to truly move on with your life. Pain is important in life, it's what makes you beautiful. Don't rely on crutches. Don't take the medicine in life, because that is what really holds you back.
