It’s dangerous for me to listen to Chris Daughtry’s covers, most of the time I ended up liking his covers more than the original versions! 🤓😛

As much as I love the Evanessence original, this version has so much raw emotion to it. You can hear the pain in his voice which makes it all hit just that little bit harder. He made a cleaner version of this for his album but this live version will always remain supreme in my opinion as it shows so much passion and makes you almost sympathize and feel sorry for him.

Chris Daughtry is such an amazing singer, Jesus his vocals are out of this world-he truly sing from hardcore and lot of emotions.

Chris Daughtry's version is more intense in emotion while Evanescence's is sort of softer, sadder, and bittersweet. Both are excellent. I like Chris Daughtry's better though.

What I love about the passion is how they gave each of the characters more story to tell just by a song ( Example; Demons, With Arms Wide Open ) this song is one of my favorites and has been since I was in elementary school, I'm now going to be a senior in high school and love the song more than before. Now I just have a deeper appreciation for the song, I love Daughtry and aspire to be able to tell a story through song just like he can one day he is very talented.

Wow! I have always thought he was an amazing singer from day one! He is so underestimated as a singer. He has so much heart, soul and passion in his music. Prior to this scene, Jesus (JenCarlos) tells all his disciples that he knows he will be betrayed and who will betray him. Judas (Daughtry) had already accepted silver coins as payment to show the Temple guards who to arrest. Jesus knew he was coming and could have but did not stop his own arrest. The concept of this scene from "The Passion" is that Judas (Daughtry) knows what he is doing is very wrong and he wants Jesus to stop him before everything becomes too late. He's asking Jesus to reach into his life and save him from his own evil inside. In the later song "Demons", a duet with JenCarlos, Daughtry sings about the fact that Judas knows his own "Kingdom Come" is the human kingdom of darkness and not the heavenly Kingdom of Jesus Christ. Judas later left the disciples of Jesus and went off by himself and died. Whatever he did to kill himself was significant enough to those who were left behind that they named the place where Judas had died as Akeldama or "Field of Blood".

this is honestly the best cover i ever seen of this song he managed to take this song and make an entire different meaning out of it. i am not a Christian but i loved the way The Passion was made
